FLOAT LEVEL SENSOR & TRANSMITTER

MODEL: LTS
DESCRIPTION
LTS is a float type level sensor & transmitter and are used as
sensing elements for electrical continuous remote display of
the level.
The signal is a resistance output and can be equipped with
the TU-1 Transmitter Unit to produce 4-20 Ma signal.
The standard installation is vertical over the tank with the flange
or screw connection.
The LTS is suitable for tough applications such as inflammable,
corrosive liquids or pressurized and vacuum vessels.
The LTS sensor is available in corrosion resistant material like,
SS 304, SS 316, PVC, PP and PTFE.

FEATURES
* Simple mounting and made to customer specification
* Continuous level measurement of the level with highly accurate
repeatability, regardless of the built up of Foam and will not be
affected by change of pressure or varying conductivity.
* Remote display of the level over long distances (up to 2000 m)
* Applicable for temperature up to 120 Deg C, High temperature
version up to 250 Deg C available on request.
* Every sensing elements are protected by plastic cover for safety.
* Less maintenance and lower installation cost.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE
The Float sensor, LTS work on float principle with
magnetic transmission (permanent magnet, reed
switch and resistance chain) in a three wire
potentiometer circuit.
Only one moving part - a float set on a guide tube
slides reliably up and down with the liquids.
A toroidal magnet in the float actuates tiny reed
switch with its magnetic field through the wall of
the guide tube.
These reed off an uninterrupted measurement
voltage from a resistance chain (potential divider)
and this voltage is proportional to the liquid level.
The resistance chain is very finely graduated and
soldered onto a printed circuit board.
Depending on the requirements and the design
there are various type of resolutions (distance
of each reed switch) available.
