Good morning mam, I am Deepika Senthil Kumar.
I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in
computer science affiliated with SRM Institute of Science and Technology Ramapuram. My cgpa
is 9.77. I have been consistently performing well in academics. In my 4 th semester, I did my mini
project which is Metro Ticket Booking System with a group of 4 people. It is a small website
used to book metro train tickets with ease at your convenience. The languages used were
python, html, css and sql. The website would receive your travel details and allows you to book
the train quickly in seconds. This project made me more enthusiastic wanting me to learn more.
In my coming semesters, I am planning to build a deep fake detection model. It would be very
useful in identifying fake contents across the internet. I had participated and presented in an
international conference called PMTIA. The conference was about Mathematical Science. I think
that education in college is not solely enough to build my skills, so keeping this in mind, I
engaged myself in additional certificate courses. I completed an Artificial Intelligence course in
Teachnook and implemented two projects, one minor and one major. I took up a course in
Devtown regarding Data Science and learned a lot about Artificial Intelligence. I picked up two
courses in Udemy, one regarding Artificial Intelligence and other regarding Django framework
in python. I had an interest in badminton, and hence I was a part of my badminton team in my
school. Apart from that I used to play Basketball. This way I learned to handle stress in many
situations. My strength is that I would be a good leader. I have been the leader of my team for
many projects in college and school. I am good in communication and Im also a quick learner.
My hobby is cooking. I would always like to cook delicious food and explore different foods
around the world. Another hobby is singing. I would practice singing whenever I am alone.

Weakness:
My weakness is that sometimes I easily get distracted, maybe when I’m studying be it browsing
through my phone or chatting with my family, I get distracted a lot. But I have overcome this
weakness of mine by creating a time table and strictly following it. So that I do my tasks allotted
at that particular period of time only. And also, I have gained more interest in building my skills
to a higher extent and hence I would not waste my time and prepare myself for my future.
Why should we hire you:
I think I am eligible for this role because I have good technical skills and I am passionate for this
role. I have completed many certificate courses and have implemented many projects which
has elevated my technical skills. I am self-determined and I am always ready to contribute the
best of my skills and capabilities to the company and I would never give up in any difficult
situation. I am also ready to work in situations where there is pressure, this would make me
work more. I also have a positive attitude and hence I would be a valuable asset to this
company.
Role model:
My role model is my father. It is because of him that I chose to study computer science. My
father had left his home at the age of 16 after studying and searched for jobs everywhere
around India which is big thing in this generation. He is now a Service Engineer and whenever I
had any problems in the computer he would help me fix and this made me interested in
choosing this domain. Even though he faced a lot of difficult situations and he did not have
support back then, he did not let his family face any difficulties and he made us settle in a
foreign country. Even though we did not have the lack of money, he did not allow me to spend
on worthless things which is a good type of parenting and he is really an inspiration to me.
Goals:
My short term goal is to develop my technical skills to an even higher level so that I would be
able to get a job in a reputed company.
My long term goal is to contribute my skills to the company and achieve a higher position
where I can build my career and help the company too.
Toughest decision:
The toughest decision I had to make was to sit for placements or to study further. Because me
and my family had this thought of sending me abroad for higher studies. But then I thought that
if I got a job in my country itself, it would be great so I decided to sit for placements.
What makes a good leader:
I think that a good leader should be able to communicate clearly and transparently to their
team and they should have a team-centric approach. A good leader should be able to build
trust among the peers. They must have the ability to inspire them to perform better. A good
leader is the one who brings together the efforts of their peers and motivate them to move
forward in the right direction. They should have the ability to make right decision in any kind of
situations, maybe during emergencies or even under pressure. A good leader should have the
patience to first listen to their team and lead them.
I would describe my leadership skills are collaborative and result-oriented. I have the ability to
study my team members and engage them with tasks that they are capable of. I believe in the
decisions made by my members within there are of expertise as long as they meet the
requirements.
When I was a leader for my team, I first paid attention to each of their suggestions on how the
work can be taken forward, then I decided how to process the work with all the member’s
support. I then assigned particular tasks to each one of them according to their interests and
capabilities. After they had finished their tasks, I put them all together and asked for
suggestions and any improvements in the finished project. This way I was able to be a leader for
my team.
What makes a good student:
A good student should have the ability to concentrate and learn new things. They should focus
on their interests and goals and work hard to achieve them. They should compete with
themselves and not others. They do not fall under the influence of any others. I think that
learning is not the only thing needed, we should apply what we have learned in practical
situations. A good student should know how to apply things in real life situations, for eg if I am
learning a topic about regression, after learning, I would take dataset from the net and start
applying what I had learned. This helps me to understand better, I can even clear my doubts
myself by working on the codes more. This way a student can improve a lot.
How my friend describes me:
My friend would describe me as a person who is self determined and self motivated and I have
the ability to learn new things with enthusiasm. My friend would also describe me as a person
with good technical skills and they would say that I have good leadership skills because I have
been a leader for few projects.
Where do you see yourself in:
I see myself as the senior software engineer of the company who has contributed to the growth
and success of the company. There is a team working under my guidance to meet the
deadlines. I am still ready to learn more new things as technology grows and be up to date in
my profession.
