SPECIAL TOOLS AND TEST EQUIPMENT
Grease gun ............................................................................................ GSE1200474 or equivalent
Grease gun adapter ........................................................................................................... MS24203
B. Procedure
(1) There are two lubricating practices as follows:
(a) If component or system has a grease exit in addition to grease entry, such as with
typical landing gear components that have grease nipples and exit orifices, lubricating
consists of pumping in grease as many times as needed to push out old until a steady
clean grease comes out of the exit. This approach in industry has generally resulted in
at least a 90 - 95% or better desired grease within component.
(b) If component or system does not have an exit point (sealed components), only apply 1
- 2 pumps as over greasing can cause seal damage.
NOTE: Greases within qualified products list are acceptable.
Refer to the appropriate procedure for the proper grease to be used.
(c) If intermixing of grease types is suspected, contact Gulfstream Customer Support.
