• The COPM is a client-centred outcome measure for individuals
to identify and prioritize everyday issues that restrict their
participation in everyday living

SCORING CARD FOR RATING IMPORTANCE
• Provided to the client in step 2 of the measure
• Scale to indicate importance of the problem identified in step 2
• Performance rating: 1- not able to do at all, 10- able to do very
well
• Satisfaction rating: 1- not satisfied at all, 10- fully satisfied
SCORING INTERPRETATION
• The scores are used for comparative purposes at reassessment.
• Higher score= higher performance or satisfaction and vice versa
• Research has indicated that changes of two or more points on the
COPM are clinically important.
• Score would be useful in
1. program evaluation,
2. quality improvement, and
3. research activities where the interest may be on more summative
measures of change.
