This is to officially invite Sangguniang Barangay, a local organization of Barangay
Councilors to join us in the upcoming Barangay Councilors League of the Philippines
Quarterly National Convention on Continuing Legislative Enhancement Program
with the Theme: “Local Governance Structures Play a Vital Role in Ensuring
Effective and Efficient Delivery of Services to the Community.” on October 23, 24,
and 25, 2024 in Citystate Tower Hotel, #1315 A. Mabini Street, Ermita, Manila.
Barangay officials, including barangay captains and council members, serve as
intermediaries between the government and citizens, ensuring the well-being of residents
and infrastructure development. Continuous training is essential to keep officials updated
with changes in laws and regulations, enabling them to address emerging challenges in
barangay governance effectively. It aims to stipulate that the good governance of the
Basic Political Unit or the Barangay Level, should not be affected by the lack of
competence of the officers; not lose certainty during the performance of duties as officer-
in-charge and provide a better understanding of government institutions, its policies on
matters affecting functions of barangay governance; to establish a program in every
locality to educate the participants on their main functions and responsibilities and to enlist
barangay officials in actual and simulated situations to observe, react, discuss and come
up with attainable initiatives consistent with their given capacities and resources for
individual and inimitable barangay legislative functions.

generous support to the development of our Barangay Legislators.
