1 Introduction

Job Connect is a web-based platform designed to facilitate seamless connections

between employers and job seekers. The platform must allow employers to post job
openings, manage candidate applications, and search for relevant talent. Job seekers
must be able to create and maintain profiles, browse job listings, and apply for
opportunities.

A key functionality of the system is the AI-driven notification mechanism, which

must notify job seekers when job postings that match their profiles are available. The
AI system will analyze job seekers' profiles and preferences to deliver personalized
job notifications in real-time, ensuring that they are aware of opportunities that suit
their qualifications.

This document outlines the requirements for Job Connect, specifying the features and
behaviors expected from the system. It provides clear guidelines for developers,
ensuring that the system fulfills its intended objectives. The document focuses on
defining what the system must do, without delving into design or implementation
details.

1.1Purpose

This document specifies the software requirements for Job Connect, a web-based
platform designed to facilitate connections between employers and job seekers. This
SRS is intended for the development of the platform's first release (Version 1.0).

The purpose of this SRS is to define the functional and non-functional requirements
of the Job Connect platform, serving as a reference for stakeholders throughout the
development lifecycle. It provides a clear understanding of what the system must do,
ensuring that all requirements are accurately captured and understood without
specifying design or implementation details.

The intended audience for this SRS includes:

 Project Stakeholders: To ensure the system aligns with business objectives
and user needs.
 Development Teams: To use as a guide for implementing required
functionalities.
 Quality Assurance Teams: To validate the system's compliance with
specified requirements.
 System Architects: To understand the scope of the system's functional and
non-functional demands.

Through its AI-based recommendation engine and notification system, Job Connect
ensures a personalized and streamlined recruitment experience by matching job
seekers with opportunities that suit their profiles and alerting them in real-time about
relevant postings.
