INTRODUCTION

Here we presents the design and implementation of Online Job portal. The importance of placement
system is increasing day by day. Thousands of applicants are depending placement cell. But the
applicants are facing so many problems. This project is an attempt to minimize the problems of an
applicant to find a correct job. The job seekers can put their whole details and they can view, which
helps them to modify. Through this they can edit their qualification. They can apply to their needed
post.The job providers can give the details clearly of their need. They can select the matched candidates
for their company through this job portal. The user can modify or edit their details and needs.

STUDY OF EXISTING SYSTEM


CASE STUDY
This is easy-to-use, integrated database application is geared towards reducing time spent on
administrative tasks. The system is intended to accept process and generate report accurately and any
user can access the system at any point in time provided internet facility is available. The system is also
intended to provide better services to users, provide meaningful, consistent, and timely data and
information and finally promotes efficiency by converting paper processes to electronic form. The
system was developed using technologies such as, HTML, CSS ,JS and MySQL. PYTHON- FLASK, HTML and
CSS are used to build the user interface and database was built using MySQL. The system is free of errors
and very efficient and less time consuming due to the care taken to develop it. All the phases of
software development cycle are employed and it is worthwhile to state that the system is very robust.
Provision is made for future development in the system.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Our goal is to help the people to get the corporate and non corporate job opportunities .Job providers
can easily select the Job seekers based on their location. The general notification about the
corresponding job opportunities is I immediately send to the jobseeker profile. Account holders can
decide to hide or show their private details. Based on the particular category Job providers can easily
select the jobseekers. Each user can individually manage their account details.

OBJECTIVES
*The main objective of the project is to design and develop a user friendly- System.

*Easy to use and an efficient computerized system . Less chances of information Leakage.

*To develop an accurate and flexible system, it will eliminate data redundancy.

*To make a software fast in processing, with good user interface.

*To make software with good user interface so that user can change it and

It should be used for a long time without error and maintenance.

*Provides Security to the data by using login and password method.

LIMITATIONS
* The existing systems have limitations like accuracy, cost expensive.

* Non corporate Job seekers are lagging job opportunities in existing job portal systems.

* Job providers don’t have a facility to search for jobseekers by their own.

* Fewer Users – Friendly interface for users.

* Limits some information to unpaid users.

* Lack in providing privacy options to the account holders.


SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATION
2.1 SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

Frontend- HTML, CSS, Java Script, Bootstrap

Backend-Python flask (Python 3.7), SQLAlchemy

* Operating System : Windows 7 onwards

* Browsers : Google Chrome/Internet Explorer

* Data base : XAMPP (Version-3.7)

* Python main editor (user interface) : Python 3.9.9 64-bit

* workspace editor : Visual Studio Code

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

* Computer with a 1.60 GHz or faster processor.

* Minimum 2GB of RAM or more.

* 20 GB of available hard-disk space.

* 5400 RPM hard drive.

* 1366 × 768 or higher-resolution display.

CONCLUSION
In our application we are providing some of the features like Search facility for job providers according
to the required designations and skills of the candidates, daily updates visible to all stakeholders, both
Job seeker and Job provider can set privacy to their profile for different kind of users like: account
holders, non account holders, most recent jobs are displayed on the home page.

User friendly interface is provided in the application with various controls such as: easy to update
resume for Jobseeker, search for a particular candidate or jobs by the respective job designation or
location. The wider areas of job searching facilitate the quick and easy access to opportunities. One of
the most important advantages of our project is providing opportunity to both corporate and non
corporate jobs. In this sense our project assumes greater importance and we could develop such an
efficient system which is used by lot many job hunters and job providers.
