7 PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE – ČAS PAST CONTINUOUS
Čas Past Continuous uporabljamo, ko opisujemo daljše dejanje v preteklosti, ki se
je končalo. S Past Continuous poudarjamo predvsem trajanje dejanja v preteklosti.

Nedoločniku dodamo končnico -ing

Glagoli, ki se končujejo na –e, –e odpade

Glagoli, ki se končujejo na –ie, se – ie die → dying
spremeni v – y in dodamo končnico -ing lie → lying
Enozložni glagoli - stop → stopping
podvoji se zadnji soglasnik sit → sitting
Glagoli, ki se končujejo na –y, y ostane cry → crying
brez spremembe play → playing
