Certificate in electric vehicle and mobility

I studied electric drivetrains, battery technology, charging infrastructure, environmental impacts, and future trends in

mobility, such as autonomous vehicles and smart city integration.

Certificate in automotive industrial management.


I studied supply chain management, production processes, quality control, project management, and the financial aspects

of the automotive industry. This included understanding lean manufacturing, workforce management, and the impact of

technology on production efficiency and innovation. Additionally, I explored market trends and strategies for sustainable

practices within the automotive sector.

Pursuing a diploma in automotive engineering 2023 to date

I studied vehicle design, manufacturing processes, automotive systems (like engines and transmissions), and electrical

systems. I focused on vehicle charging and starting systems, vehicle electrical and electronics, and diagnosis and

inspection, which are essential for electric vehicles. The program also covered diagnostics, maintenance practices, and

safety standards, along with hands-on experience in labs and workshops to develop practical skills in repairing and

analyzing vehicles. Additionally, I learned about emerging technologies, such as electric and hybrid vehicles, and their

impact on the automotive industry.

Work Experience

Nakawa Vocational Training College workshop

● Vehicle inspection: inspect vehicle faults and made reports.

● Vehicle diagnosis and repair: find vehicle faults using diagnostic scan tools and then make repairs, checked sensor faults

and made replacements were necessary.

Kireka garage

 With my team we carried out engine overhaul

● Vehicle electrical repairs: I repaired power window faults, lights, electrical shorts to voltage and short to ground and

repairs on electric pumps

Total energies mayuge.

 At Total energies, I worked as service technician for a period of eight months.

 I used to change oil filters, changed oil, changed spark plugs, blow the air cleaners and replaced new ones where

necessary.

 I checked the tire treads.

Conrad Motors Limited.

 At Conrad Motors Limited with my team we could replace worn engine oil seals
 As a team we could fit new clutch drive plates and bleed the clutch system as well if necessary.

 I repaired vehicle door locks.

 As a team we could make inspections visually and with help of vehicle scan tools.

Technical intern

Gemini garage

 Suspension repairs: replaced suspension bushes, changed faulty shock absorbers

● Engine overhaul: Say, in case of engine over heat, we worked in a team to dismantle engines and then resurface the

cylinder heads, replaced new gasket.

● Diagnosis: we used scan tools to communicate with the vehicle computer to detect the vehicles faults.

1. GOGO e-mobility DRIVe 2.0

0 Implemented by: giz Uganda

○ Role: trainee

○ Location: Kampala, Uganda

○ Description: Assisted in optimizing battery systems for improved efficiency in urban electric bikes. Gained hands-

on experience with lithium-ion battery technologies, including testing and maintenance protocols to extend

battery life and performance.

2. Junior Achievement Uganda

○ Role: trainee.

○ Location: Kampala District, Uganda

○ Description: Junior Achievement Uganda is a non-profit organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship,

financial literacy, and work readiness among young people. Through experiential learning programs, it aims to

equip students with skills and knowledge to succeed in the workforce and become responsible citizens. The

organization offers various initiatives, including mentorship and competitions, to foster a culture of innovation

and entrepreneurship in Uganda.
