RESEARCH TOPIC: The Insufficient Textbook Distribution and Its Impact on Student
Learning in Araling Panlipunan Among Junior High School Students in Public Schools:
Challenges and Solutions
RESEARCH BACKGROUND TO STUDY (What does your topic all about?):
This study investigates the impact of insufficient textbook distribution on students'
learning in Araling Panlipunan in junior high school. The goal of this study is to examine
how the lack of textbooks can affects the students’ academic performance,
comprehension, and overall learning experience. The study will also identify the
challenges faced by both teachers and students, and explore potential solutions to
address this issue.
RESEARCH PROBLEM (What do you intend to know?):
The problem that this study tackles is that many public schools face a shortage
of textbooks, which hinders both students and teachers in their learning and
teaching process. When there's not enough textbooks, students often have to
share or rely on photocopies and other materials, which limits their ability to
independently study and fully grasp the lessons being taught. As a result,
students may struggle with comprehension, as they have less access to detailed
explanations and examples provided in the textbooks. Also, the lack of textbooks
can hinder the development of critical thinking skills, as students couldn't engage
deeply with the content or analyze complex topics without the proper resources.
Teachers also face difficulties, needing to create additional materials to fill in the
gaps, which consumes extra time and effort. This shortage particularly affect
students who cannot afford alternative resources, contributing to inequalities in
education. Those with fewer resources are at a disadvantage, which can lead to
poor performance in subjects such as Araling Panlipunan that often rely on the
content of textbooks. Lastly, the lack of textbooks can slow students' academic
progress, affect their ability to develop critical skills, and limit their overall
learning experience.

RESEARCH TOPIC:
The Challenges of Junior High School Students Face in Public Schools in
Balancing Academic and Personal Needs Through Educational Assistance
RESEARCH BACKGROUND TO STUDY (What is your topic all about?):
This study explores how Filipino college students studying in public schools
manage and allocate the educational assistance that they receive, which is
primarily intended to support academic expenses but may not fully cover other
essential personal needs ( e.g., transportation, food, and health expenses). The
goal of the study is to raise awareness of how educational aid initiatives may
be enhanced to better assist students in balancing their personal and academic
needs.
RESEARCH PROBLEM (What do you intent to know?):
Given the fact that students face both academic and financial difficulties, they
are often required to allocate significant portions of their resources to projects,
books, and other academic necessities. However, it remains unclear how much
financial support is sufficient to address not only their academic needs, but also
their overall well-being. This study seeks to explore whether educational
assistance meets both their academic and personal needs and identify
necessary improvements for achieving a balanced approach to support
students academically and personally.

RESEARCH TOPIC:
The Lack of Basic Sign Language Education in Schools Significantly Limits
Communication with the Deaf Community
RESEARCH BACKGROUND TO STUDY (What is your topic all about?):
There is limited public understanding of the importance of Basic Sign
Language, often leading to the exclusion of the Deaf community. The absence
of sign language education in schools and insufficient exposure to Deaf culture
for hearing individuals create significant communication barriers. This highlights
the need for greater awareness and social inclusion of the Deaf community.
RESEARCH PROBLEM (What do you intent to know?):
Since sign language is not widely taught in schools, many Filipinos are unaware
of how to effectively communicate with the Deaf community. This study aims to
explore how this lack of awareness leads to misunderstandings in interactions
between Deaf and hearing individuals, particularly when Deaf individuals
struggle to communicate with hearing people, resulting in confusion and
misinterpretation.

Changes Of Curriculum Affects Students Academic Performance
RESEARCH BACKGROUND TO STUDY (What does your topic all about?):
This study investigates the impact of recent curriculum revisions on student
academic performance in Araling Panlipunan Grade 7 students. Researchers
aim to determine whether these changes have led to improved or diminished
student learning outcomes. The findings will inform future curriculum
development and implementation strategies.
RESEARCH PROBLEM (What do you intent to know?):
Curriculum changes are common, but schools face at risk of establishing
harmful or ineffective changes that could eventually impair student progress if
they don't have solid data on their effects.
