Job Overview:
The IT Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management
of The Insights Shop’s IT infrastructure and services. This role involves ensuring network
security, managing IT teams, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of
software and hardware systems. The IT Manager will play a crucial role in planning and
executing IT strategies, managing budgets, and coordinating with various departments to
meet their IT needs. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting technical issues,
monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with IT policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• IT Infrastructure and Operations Management:
o Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's IT
infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and data centers.
o Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services and infrastructure,
minimizing downtime and disruptions.
• Network Security and Data Protection:
o Develop and implement comprehensive network security policies to
safeguard against internal and external threats.
o Manage data protection strategies, including data encryption, backup
solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
• Software Management:
o Oversee the selection, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions
to support organizational needs.
o Ensure that all systems are updated with the latest patches and upgrades.
• Budgeting and Financial Management:
o Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring alignment with organizational
financial goals.
o Monitor IT expenditures, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective
procurement of IT resources.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination:
o Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT requirements and
provide tailored solutions.
o Act as a liaison between IT and other business units to ensure seamless
integration and support.
• IT Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's overall
goals and objectives.
o Plan and execute IT upgrades and improvements, including infrastructure
expansions and technology refreshes.
• Technical Troubleshooting and Support:
o Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex technical issues related to
hardware, software, and network systems.
o Address and resolve issues with Google Workspace, email delivery, and other
software applications.
• System Performance Monitoring:
o Continuously monitor system performance, including uptime, response
times, and resource utilization.
o Implement performance optimization measures and respond proactively to
potential issues.
• Compliance and Policy Management:
o Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and industry regulations,
including data privacy laws.
o Regularly review and update IT policies to reflect best practices and
regulatory changes.
• Email and User Management:
o Configure and manage email accounts and domains, including
troubleshooting email delivery issues.
o Oversee user management on Google Workspace, including account setup,
permissions, and access control.
• Storage Solutions and Data Management:
o Manage data storage solutions and policies, ensuring secure and efficient
storage of organizational data.
o Implement data archiving and retention policies in compliance with legal and
business requirements.
• Website and Domain Administration:
o Oversee website hosting and domain management, ensuring the website is
operational, secure, and up-to-date.
o Manage domain registrations and DNS configurations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of
overseeing IT infrastructure and operations.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, data protection practices, and
compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in managing Google Workspace and troubleshooting related issues.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management for IT projects.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and
guide a diverse IT team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise in hardware, software, and
network systems.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all
levels of the organization.
• Experience in managing website hosting, domain services, and data storage
solutions.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of market research industry standards and technologies.
• Experience in a global or multi-national organization.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and platforms.
