‘A Renowned Democracy’
DESCRIPTION OF THE THEME
सश्र
ु त
ु refers to ‘Renowned’ or famous; and लोकशाही is ‘democracy’, which
means our democracy is one of the most renowned democracy. But, do we use
it rightfully or the way it should be used?
The democracy tree has prop roots like education, transparency, employment,
social justice and overall advancements to help our democracy prosper, but
this exact tree gets weakened by a mindset that favours inequality,
discrimination, corruption, misuse of power and dirty politics.
To highlight all these issues and to make our youth realise the power of our
democracy, we present to you our topic सश्र
ु त ु लोकशाही in this year’s ‘जाणीव’….
NOTE: - Through this various medium of expressions, we
are expecting the participants to showcase the thoughts
and visions given in the light of

1ST DAY (TUESDAY, 17th DECEMBER 2024)
COMPETITION DETAILS
REGISTRATION: - 8:00 AM Near Sathaye College gymkhana, ground floor.
❖ PHOTOGRAPHY (Both Days) TIME: 9:00 AM
TOPIC: Photos of various events held during the entirety of the fest
➢ Rules
• Participants should only click photos on their mobile phones, no
DSLR/Mirrorless/GoPro camera allowed.
• Participants should submit 5 of their best photos (Hard Copy &
Soft Copy)
• Photos should be unedited.
• Time Limit will be till 11:00 AM of 2nd day.
• Only 2 Participants allowed (1 DC 1 JC)
➢ Venue: - Sathaye College Campus
❖ STREET PLAY TIME: 9:30 AM
Topic: Any social issue that will relate to democracy
➢ Rules
• Written Script Must be Submitted At the time of submission.
• Play should be either in Marathi/ Hindi.
• Decency In regard to language must be maintained.
• Minimum 8 And Maximum 10 participants are allowed.
• Participants are required to use the term ‘Lokshahi’ in their
performance.
• Time limit will be 8 + 2 minutes.

❖ POSTER WITH SLOGAN WRITING TIME: 11:00 AM

➢ RULES
• Drawing materials should be brought by the participants.
• Maximum 4 participants (2 DC AND 2 JC).
• Drawing Charts will be provided.
• Time limit will be 2 hours.
➢ Venue: - 3rd Floor (Room No. 304/305)
2nd DAY (WEDNESDAY, 18TH DECEMBER 2024)
COMPETITON DETAILS

❖ VOCAL TO LOCAL TIME: 9:00 AM
The Stage is yours; The Mic is Yours and you have a message to convey! Put your
creativity into expression and show us what you have got unique.
➢ Topic
• Participants must highlight the vision of an ideal democracy while
explaining the factors that restrict this vision.
➢ Mode of expression
• Poetry narration / spoken word poetry performance.
• Mono acting
• Stand-up comedy / Elocution
➢ Rules
• Each participant must give an individual performance
• Time limit will be 3+2 minutes
• Maximum 4 participants [2 JC & 2 DC]
• Decency in regard to language must be maintained
• Performance should be in English / Marathi / Hindi
• Usage of props is optional
• Participants should not mention any specific person or political party, If
done so, performance will be immediately stopped
➢ Venue: 3rd Floor Auditorium
❖ Group dance: TIME: 9:00 AM
➢ Topic:
• Any dance form that depicts the components affecting the democracy
mentioned in the theme description
➢ Rules
• Only groups dance participants no solo performance allowed Minimum 4
and maximum 10 participants are allowed
• Time limit will be 5 minutes
• Song should be submitted on or before 17th December 2024
➢ Venue: Ground Floor Auditorium

Rules and regulations
• Only NSS volunteers can participate
• ID cards are mandatory for registration
• JC/DC events will be evaluated separately
• College code will be given at the registration counter which will be
used in all the various competitions of JANEEV
• Decision by judges will be final
• Participants will be responsible for their valuables
• Participants should maintain discipline in college campus
• If noticed that performance is not according to rule the
organizers will have full right to stop the performance
• Misbehaviour and vulgarity will lead to disqualification
• All the results of the competition will be declared on 18th
December 2024
• On the spot entries are allowed
• Certificate and prizes should be collected within a week, the
organizers will be not responsible after 25th December 2024
• Participants should not mention any specific person or political
party in any competition, If done so, performance will be
immediately stopped
