Greetings from Sunbeam Women’s College, Varuna!


We are delighted to invite your esteemed institution to participate in Aakaar’25 –
Intercollegiate Youth Fest, to be held on 27th April 2025 at our campus. This grand
celebration is an amalgamation of Art, Literature, Dance, and Music, providing a vibrant
platform for students to showcase their talent, creativity, and skills.
This year’s theme is: “Breaking Barriers, Initiating Change”
With this theme, we aim to empower young voices to express, explore and experiment through
various events and competitions. Aakar’25 is a celebration of creativity, culture, and youthful
expression—bringing together students from across institutions to engage, perform, and
inspire.
We are confident that the enthusiastic participation of your students will enrich the fest and
make it a memorable one for all.
Enclosed with this letter are detailed guidelines regarding the event schedule, competition
categories, and registration process.

GENERAL RULES – AAKAAR’25

✅ No registration fees will be charged for any event.


✅ The youth fest is open to girls’ and co-ed colleges (entries will be accepted for both
boys & girls).
✅ Confirmation of participation starts from 20th April 2025. Submit your filled form to
our office or email it at aakaar@sunbeamwc.com.
✅ Final registration will take place on 27th April 2025, between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM.
✅ Participants must be accompanied by a team leader and teacher-in-charge.
✅ No green rooms will be provided. Participants should come fully dressed for
performances.
✅ A waiting room will be available for keeping instruments & props.
✅ Performances will follow the college code order based on confirmation sequence.
✅ Late arrivals may face disqualification.
✅ Time limits must be strictly followed (negative marking for exceeding time).
✅ College Identity Cards are mandatory for all participants.
✅ Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
✅ Participation in minimum 8 events is required to be eligible for the Mata Gujari
Championship Trophy.
✅ Students can participate in multiple events, ensuring no time slot conflicts.
✅ Group photography will be available for punctual participants.
✅ Please submit music tracks and event-related details as per the instructed deadlines.
✅ Each participant must carry his/her respective college identity card.
✅ College having uniform must send their participants in their college uniform.
✅ All the teams are requested to be present during the Prize Distribution Ceremony.
✅ All enquiries related to the competition should be referred to the Event Coordination
between 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on working days.

1. There has to be one team (made up of two students) from each college. One student will speak in
favour of topic and one against. Judgement will be made on the cumulative score of both the
students.
2. Medium of expression will be English.
3. Paper reading or use of electronic gadgets is not allowed.
4. Time: Max. 3 minutes per speaker.
5. 2 minutes will be allowed for rebuttal round at the end.

2. Members in a team: Min. 04 – Max. 08.
3. The plan must include – Name of the company, description of product/ service attributes, cost
involved, marketing strategy, unique selling proposition, promotional techniques, mode of
advertisement, logo, contact details etc.
4. Each plan must have a tagline and logo.
5. Each plan must have PPT presentation and Jingle.
6. Each team must play a 90 seconds AV to endorse their product/service.
7. The plan must not be implemented commercially.
8. The presentation will be followed by questions from judges.

1. Each institution will be represented by one member in the event.
2. The participants will be given a word, a photograph, set of photographs, a news article from
which they will have to craft a 19-line piece which should be a combination of part dialogue,
part Monologue and part poetry.
3. The language of the piece will be English. The participant from an institution will write an
individual piece.
4. Time limit: 45 minutes.
5. The piece has to blend all three genres yet the individuality of each genre must be evident in
the textual treatment
6. The piece must have a title. (The title is not counted as a line)
7. No electronic gadgets are allowed.

Nrityarachna is a dance drama performance where a group is tasked with showcasing a particular social
issue or cause through a dance of any genre, set to a musical track.
Theme: Any Social Issue

Rules:
1. Time duration: 6-8 minutes including stage setup.
2. There should be minimum 6 and maximum 12 participants. At least 6 members must be performing on
stage throughout the performance.
3. Suitable props can be used during performance.
4. Usage of any kind of uid, ame, powders, glass and colors is strictly prohibited.
5. Participants are required to give the corresponding edited audio music in MP3 format in pen drive only
and must be submitted at the time of registration.
6. It is to be performed only on musical track (No Poem, No Shloks, No Lyrics are allowed).
7. No Bollywood numbers will be entertained.
8. The participants are expected to be decently dressed.
