In various nations, owning a home is considered to be more desirable and preferred than renting.
This
stems from the belief that owning your own home provides an individual with a sense of security,
privacy and comfort that renting does not provide. In this article, I will present my views on both the
benefits and disadvantages of this trend.
One of the primary factors is safety and privacy. When each individual possesses a home, there will be
no worries about house prices increasing or having to relocate when required by the landlord. In
addition, for those who like long-term stability and comfort in their living schedule, a private house is a
better choice because there have no concerns about causing trouble, interruption or having any impact
to other individuals around like staying in a collective rental house.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages for home owners compared to renters. One of
the major drawbacks is the financial burden that comes with paying for a home such as property taxes
along with other expenses such as electricity, water, personal expenses, which puts a lot of pressure on
the homeowner's ability to pay. In addition, in case of having to move house, it is also very difficult to
find a buyer and transfer procedures while with renters, they can move to many places at flexible times
without having to make financial commitments or procedures.
In conclusion, while homeownership offers conductive conditions that renting may not provide, it also
comes with significant financial burdens and less flexibility. Ultimately, whether homeownership is a
better choice than renting depends on individual circumstances and demands.
