METHOD STATEMENT FOR 250 TONS MOBILE CRANE LIFTING OPERATIONS

LIFTING AT OMC, 101 TUAS SOUTH AVE 8

Work description: Lifting 4 Pkg cargo to place dunnage, lift down after.

1) Cargoes list

2) Lifting of Cargo at OMC

Sequence 1:
Lifting Team and Operator to conduct toolbox meeting regarding the lifting of the cargo.

Sequence 2:
Lifting team to cordon off the lifting zone and prepare the necessary LGs for the lifting operations.

Sequence 3:
Operator and attendant of the 250 Ton Mobile crane to begin mobbing of the crane.

Sequence 4:
Riggers to don on body harness, and WAH Supervisors to check the person wearing the body harness and ensure it is
worn properly.

Sequence 5:
Riggers to rig the Self Retracting Line (SRL) to the hook block of the Mobile Crane. Riggers with body harness to
hook the SRL to the D-ring of the body harness.

Sequence 6:
Signalman to give signal to operator to lift the cargo once riggers are in position holding the tag lines. Ensure to pull
tension before lifting the cargo up, Swing to designated storage point.

Sequence 7:
Mobile Crane to lift up cargo.

Sequence 8:
Other manpower will proceed to place wooden dunnage below cargo position.

Sequence 9:
Mobile crane will lift down cargo and place directly above the dunnage.
3) Preliminary Check Prior to Starting Operations

Before commencing the operations, the following checks will be carried out

• All spare contingency equipment / materials are available


• Transportation path from storage area to port is clear from obstacles
• Coordination information has been notified to all concerned parties
• All equipment have been functionally checked
• Tool box talk has been carried out and signed
• All required personnel are available for the operations
