ASSESSMENT OF SPEAKING AND LISTENING SKILLS (ASL)
PROJECT WORK
SUBJECT – ENGLISH CORE
CLASS XI 2024-25
Dos AND Don’ts FOR THE STUDENTS FOR UNDERTAKING THE PROJECT.
Marks allotted for ASL PROJECT - 10 marks (5 + 5) (project and Viva).
The topics may be taken up that provide students with opportunities for listening and speaking.
Some suggestions are as follows:
Listen to podcasts/ interviews / radio or a TV documentary (Relate the podcasts /
interviews / radio or a TV documentary with the given topics)
After listening to a podcast/ interview / radio or a TV documentary on any of the given topics, the student will then
prepare an essay / write up / report etc. up to 650 words countering or agreeing with the speakers. He / She will then
take a viva on the research project. This project will be done individually.
Choose any ONE topic of your choice.

2. The Impact of Climatic Change on Human Health.
3. Mother – A Multi Faceted Personality.
4. Brand Mania and Teenagers.
5. Biographical account of any Author in Term 2 Syllabus.

2. Crumbling Moral Values in modern world.
3. Gender Equality and Women empowerment in India.

Project Completion Deadline:
1st Assessment Date: 30th November, 2024.
Final Submission Date: 14th December, 2024.
