1. Supplier Registration

• When a Schlumberger buyer invite you to an electronic bid via Ariba system for the first time you will receive an
email notification from Ariba , click the link and complete the below registration form
• Two Steps to complete the form:
1. Supplier Registration

2 User Account Information

After the registration is complete, please ensure to log in


3 Log in through www.supplier.ariba.com or www.ariba.com with the
Ariba Network credentials.
Respond to an Electronic Bid (Event)
2. Responding to a Sourcing Event
• Your invitation to the Sourcing Event will come in the form of an email to the account associated with
your particular record in Schlumberger’s Approved Supplier List (ASL), appearing similar to the
following:

2.1 – Review Event Details

Access the event by clicking the link provided by email or by accessing your dashboard through your Ariba
Commerce Cloud account. You can review Event details by clicking on “Download Content”
Then Click “Review Perquisites” to review and Accept/Decline the e-bid terms and conditions.
2.1 – Review and Accept Prerequisites

Before you can select lots, you must check the radio button accept SLB’s terms and conditions for Responding
to a Sourcing Event.
2.2 Responding to a Sourcing Event – Select Lots

Select the line item or line items you wish to bid on. Note: The SLB Sourcing Specialist may require that
certain lines/lots are submitted to proceed with the bid.

2.3 Responding to a Sourcing Event – Submit Response

Using the web interface in the “All Content” box, provide information requested by SLB. Note: All content
marked with an asterisk (*) is required before the response can be submitted.

3.1 Responding to a Sourcing Event – Using Excel – Downloading
Content

If responding to a Sourcing Event with a large amount of content, it may be helpful to download the content to
Excel to make quick edits or use formulas to sync with an existing spreadsheet. During the event, there are
three opportunities to download the Event in excel format:

Once you’ve opened the content spreadsheet in excel, the first tab will include guidance for preparing the sheet
for resubmission. Please review this information carefully. The tabs at the bottom of the sheet will correspond to
the main sections of the RFP. Fill in the information where indicated under the Answer column:

4.1 Responding to a Sourcing Event - Revising your Response

Depending on the settings established by the SLB Sourcing Specialist for the event, you may be allowed
to revise your response after you have submitted, so long as the event still has time remaining. This
feature is helpful in the case of an error or for the purposes of negotiations or requests for a Best and Final
Offer (BAFO).

5.1 Sending Messages to Schlumberger Buyer

Upon reaching Step 4 of the event, “Submit Response,” you will have the ability to initiate communication with
the SLB Sourcing Specialist using Ariba’s built-in messaging system. This can be handy for resolving
questions regarding the event’s content without having to go through email. The steps to send a message are
as follows:

When you receive a message in Ariba, the Notifications envelope icon will change from clear to yellow:

Completed Events/Award

6. Award
All Sourcing Events that have ended will display on your Ariba Commerce Cloud account dashboard as
“Completed.” You may still review the content and your responses, but not provide any revisions. At the
discretion of the SLB Sourcing Specialist, you may receive an e-mail indicated that the event has been
awarded. However, he or she may disable this feature for a particular event.
