Mini Crochet Bunny by Priscillia Uloho

Materials
Yarn: Dmc natura just cotton (20g)

1.75mm crochet hook

Stitch marker

Toy stuffing

Tapestry needle

Embroidery floss in black

Scissors

Stitches used
St, sts = stitch, stitches

Sc = single crochet

Inv dec = Invisible decrease (Insert hook into the front loop of the next 2 stitches, Yarn over and pull through
both front loops, Yarn over and pull through both loops.

Notes
For yarn sub, katia fair cotton works at a similar gauge.

Work in a continuous spiral unless stated otherwise.

The bunny is 12cm tall including ears. However, size will vary due to yarn thickness and hook size.

This pattern uses US crochet terminology.

Head
Round 1: 8 sc into a magic ring (8 sc)

Round 2: 2 sc into each st (16 sc)

Round 3: (1 sc into the next sc, 2 sc into the next sc) repeat till the end of round (24 sc)

Round 4: (1 sc into each of the next 2 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) repeat till the end of round (32 sc)

Round 5 -13: 1 sc into each sc (32 sc)

Round 14: (1 sc into each of the next 2 sc, inv dec) repeat till the end of round (24 sc)
Round 15: (1 sc into each of the next 1 sc, inv dec) repeat till the end of round (16 sc)

Round 16: (inv dec) repeat till the end of round (8 sc)

Slip stitch into the next sc and cut yarn and fasten off.

Stuff the head.

Legs and body

Leg 1
Round 1: 8 sc into a magic ring (8 sc)

Round 2-8: sc into every st (8 sc)

Cut yarn and fasten off.

Leg 2
Work as leg 1 to round 8 but do not cut the yarn. Continue with the
body.

Body
Round 1: chain 2, 1 sc into each sc of leg 1, chain 2, 1 sc into each
sc of leg 2 (20 stitches)

Round 2: 1 sc into each of the 2 chain sts, 1 sc into each of the next
8 sc, 1 sc into each of the 2 chain sts, 1 sc into each of the next 8 sc
(20 sc)

Round 3-4: 1sc in each sc (20 sc)

Seam the opening between the legs using whip stitch. Stuff the legs.

Round 5-9: 1sc in sc (20 sc)

Round 10: (1 sc into each of the next 3 sc, inv dec) repeat till the end
of round (16 sc)

Round 11: (1sc into each of the next 2 sc, inv dec) repeat till end of
round (12 sc)

Round 12: (1sc into the next 1 sc, inv dec) repeat till end of round (8
sc)

Slip stitch in the next sc, cut yarn and fasten off leaving a long tail to
sew.

Stuff the body.

Sew the head onto the body.


Arms (make 2)
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (6 sc)

Round 2-9: 1 sc into each sc (6 sc)

Do not stuff.

Close the opening with 2 sc.

Cut yarn and fasten off leaving a long tail for seaming.

Sew arms in place.

Ears (make 2)
Round 1: 4 sc into a magic ring (4 sc)

Round 2: (1 sc into the next sc, 2 sc into the next sc) repeat till end
of round (6 sc)

Round 3: (1sc into each of the next 2 sc, 2 sc into the next sc)
repeat till the end of round (8 sc)

Round 4: (1sc into each of the next 3 sc, 2 sc into the next sc)
repeat till the end of round (10 sc)

Round 5: (1sc into each of the next 4 sc, 2 sc into the next sc)
repeat till the end of round (12 sc)

Round 6-11: 1 sc into each sc (12 sc)

Do not stuff

Close the opening with 6 sc.

Cut yarn and fasten off leaving a long tail for seaming.

Pinch the bottom of the ears and secure with a few whip stitches

Sew ears in place.

Finishing
Eyes are worked on round 11 with a space of 3 sc between them.
