In this word document we provide a deeper insight into our 6-day trip (the cost breakdown of
each day of the trip, incorporating service providers and prices + the total cost per person) .
Detailed Itinerary and Costs for University Student Trip to Vienna
Day 1: Arrival and Check-in
- 08:00– Depart by bus from Budapest.
- Chartered Bus Service : {OnlineBuszbérlés, for 49-61 ppl 450-600Ft /km} =
(approximately) €1,5/km
- 14:00 – Arrival in Vienna, check-in at Wombat’s City Hostel Vienna Naschmarkt.
- Cost: ( €17 per bed per night. + €7,5 per breakfast ) = €24,5 / night
- 15:30 – Guided bus tour with Vienna Sightseeing Tours to St. Stephen’s Cathedral
- Cost: €30 per person.
- 18:00 some free time to look around in the city
- 19:00 – Dinner at Buffet Trzesniewski Dorotheergasse
- Cost: €10 per person
- after 21:00 team-building activities with Group Attendant (problem-solving & collaboration
challenges)
Day 2: Educational Experiences + Winter Magic
- 08:00 – Breakfast at the hostel.
- 09:00 – Departure for Vienna University of Economics and Business (tour and lecture).
- Cost: Free (confirmed by university’s student liaison office).
- 12:30 – Cold-packed lunch / free time to have lunch somewhere + look around
- 14:00 – (departure from the University) Visit to Albertina Museum + Guided Tour
- Cost: : €24 per person
- 18:30 – Dinner at Figlmüller (traditional Viennese restaurant).
- Cost: €27 per person for set menu. (approximately)
- 20:30 – visit Winter Market in Rathausplatz
- 23:00 go back to hostel.
Day 3: Some Culture, ZOO + Karaoke night
- 08:00 – Breakfast at the hostel.
- 10:00 – Visit to Kunsthistorisches Museum.
- Cost: €24 per student.
- 12:00 – free time to explore or visit local cafes and shops.
- 14:00 visit Tiergarten Schönbrunn
- Cost: €32 per person
- 19:00 – Dinner at Maxingstüberl
- Cost: €25 per person
- 20:30 go to Marae Alta and have a karaoke night (they walk there and back to the hostel
when they feel like it)
Day 4: Trip to Wachau Valley + New Accommodation
- 08:00 – Breakfast at hostel.
- 09:00 – Departure to (Melk) Wachau Valley.
- 11:00 – Tour of Melk Abbey.
- Cost: €16 per person.
- 12:30 – Cold-packed lunch / free time to look around/ have lunch
- 14:00 – check into new accommodation: Dream Factory Melk – Green Hostel
- Cost: €22 per bed + breakfast / night
- 15 :30 - 18:30 go to Schiffahrtszentrun : Danube boat cruise (Ship & Snitzel)
- Cost (ship + food) : €61 per person.
- 19:00 go back to hostel.
- 20: 30 team-building activities (Quick Energizers; eg: Activity)
Day 5: Aggstein Castle
- 08:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
- 10:00 – visit Aggstein Castle (season ticket: Castle, Tavernt, Advent Events..)
- Cost: €30 per student.
During free time they have lunch at the Castle.
- 18:00 – Dinner at Taverne.
- Cost: €20 per person.
- 19:30 – go back to hostel.
- 21:00 Farewell Party at hostel (They play drinking games like Flip Cup Relay : divide
everyone into teams of 5-10. Each player drinks and flips their cup in a sequence. First team
to finish wins.)
Day 6: Departure
- 08:00 – Breakfast at hostel.
- 09:00 – Check-out and departure.
- Cold-packed lunch for the journey back.
- 15:00 – Arrival back to Budapest.
