Axolotls are one of those weird yet fascinating creatures that
      everyone loves.
When I was in primary school, we had one as a class pet. I still
remember how exciting and fun it was getting to feed it.

Cut the yarn leaving a tail and pull through last st. Weave the yarn
tail through the front loops only of the final round and pull to close.
Hide the end inside the axolotl.
      Finishing
Using pins, mark out the placement of the gills. Starting between R2
and R3, find a natural line on either side of the head approximately
1.5 stitches away from each eye and ending between R6 and R7.
You will be chaining and slip stitching between each round to create
the gills following the path that you marked out.
Starting on the right with the axolotl facing up, insert your hook into
the first stitch between R2 and R3 and coming out between R3 and R4.
Place dark pink yarn on your hook and pull through.
