Agenda: Human rights in Palestine and other arab occupied territories

United Nations Human Rights Council,

Recalling the universal declaration of human rights, the international covenant on civil and
political rights, and the Geneva conventions,

Emphasizing the importance of upholding human rights and peace,

Alarmed by the excessive use of force against unarmed civilians and refugees,

Recognizing the importance of upholding the rights and dignity of individuals under occupation
in Palestine and other Arab territories, and emphasizing their access to basic human rights,
including freedom of movement and protection from violence,

Condemns the recent extrajudicial killings within the states in distress,

Further recalling on seeking help from refugee camps to provide support and supplies to the
individuals who are in need of assistance,

Calls upon the member states of the international covenant on civil and political rights to take all
the required measures to prevent human rights violations,

1) Further invites the member states to fund the United Nations Relief and Works
Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East;

2) Reminds donor countries of their obligation to contribute to initiatives aimed at


alleviating the humanitarian crisis faced by communities in occupied areas;
3) Draws the attention of the human rights council to the investigation of arbitrary
killings in conflict zones;

4) Further requests the Humanitarian Rights Committee to seek to aid to the food and
water insecurity issues in affected areas;

5) Expresses its appreciation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for
Palestine Refugees in the Near East in enhancing its support to the vulnerable
communities impacted by the humanitarian crisis in the region;

6) Supports The World Health Organisation in their efforts to sign agreements with other
organizations to fund those who are in need of support and aid;

7) Further requests to expand access to citizenship and permanent residency for refugees
in need;
