88 round cards plus 10 hollow cards

Since ancient times, human beings have been exploring "Who am I?" and "How did I become who I am now?". These questions seem to originate from the inner
desire of human beings and symbolize the human pursuit of wisdom. This is also the meaning of "know thyself" and understanding the world in philosophy.
There are 88 circular cards with a diameter of 8.8 centimeters, using artistic and metaphorical techniques to depict various situations. There is at least one
figure in each card, and this fixed figure symbolizes a kind of recognition and recognition. When we look at the INUK cards attentively, certain emotions and
actions will emerge in our minds, so we can interpret the situation we perceive. By observing our own feelings and reactions, we get an opportunity to explore
ourselves and take a good look at our lives, our choices, and our current status.
From ancient times to the present, self-knowledge has held a high degree of value and status in many cultural philosophies. Socrates believed that the meaning
of life lies in it. However, people who lack self-knowledge, feel insecure and confused about their inner motivations, make poor decisions and suffer painful
feelings. CG Jung once said: "Only by looking inward at your own heart can your vision be clear. Those who look outside are dreaming; those who look inward
are awake." This sentence is important. The meaning of the expression is meaningful to everyone - connecting with the inner self and inner motivation is the real
value, and this quality is something that no one can take away from others. "INUK" comes from the Inuit language and means "being a person". "INUK" is a
fitting name for this journey towards self-knowledge.
The INUK card was drawn by Bai Yilin, a young artist from Guangzhou. She herself is a person who has embarked on an inner journey, and she records this
process with paintings. The 88 cards she painted are all round (a first for the OH Card series), and they can be flipped to reveal different or even wider
perspectives. Complementing them are 10 other black and white cards of the same size, with a certain part of the black and white cards designed to be hollowed
out. Users can cut this part out and turn it into a hollow card. When we stack one card on top of another, the hollow area acts like a magnifying glass, allowing us
to see one part of the card. It is also like a keyhole, through which we see something, but not the whole picture. When we look at a card in this way, we will find
that our visual focus changes: our attention is only focused on a certain part of the scene, and other parts are blocked out.
We use INUK cards in a game way. Since the cards have no fixed meaning, they can create a special space that people can freely explore without being led in
a particular direction. Cards are created to provide an experience that allows us to meet ourselves in the game and consciously observe changes in our feelings,
emotions, and motivations. You can talk about these experiences and share them with others, or you can keep them inside. It all depends on you.
Self-awareness helps shape a balanced personality. The changes that self-awareness can bring are as follows:
• Stop blaming others when you encounter difficulties in life. Even though we still encounter setbacks and related events, we learn to be aware of our role in the
events and therefore take our own responsibility instead of placing the blame on others. Such a shift would lead to clearer relationships.
• Not affected by external pressure. We can connect with the inner space where we know our limits, goals, and habits. This will
Alleviating our fears, such as fear of not meeting external expectations and fear of being criticized.
• No more fear or panic. Fear and panic may be life-saving in life-threatening situations, but in most cases fear and panic stem from emotions caused by past
experiences of rejection or humiliation. At this time, self-awareness is like a source of inner peace, a secluded place in the heart.
• Free from jealousy and immune to its destructive effects. If jealousy is viewed constructively, it can help us see where our self-esteem falls short. It points out
our unrealized potential, points out our inner and outer strengths, and allows us to see our true needs.
• Be a good communicator. Self-awareness lays the foundation for good communication and allows us to learn to truly listen and understand. I know that other people
think and feel differently than I do and that everyone has different experiences and personalities. A good communicator understands and appreciates everyone's
different opinions, even on small details.
At INUK, we explore these topics in a fun, light-hearted way. who I am? What kind of stimulation and influence did I receive? What is driving me? Who do I want
to be and how do I get there? In a film also titled "INUK," an Inuit shaman says: "Having an identity means being yourself and becoming part of the world around
you." The INUK card was created to accompany this experience. .
                                                                                                    -1-
Just as we exercise to stay flexible and improve endurance, we also need to exercise the art of becoming ourselves. Self is our true core. It is like a treasure in a treasure hunt. We have to find it
and understand it, even if the process is not easy. This is a great adventure, and once we embark on this journey, our relationships will improve step by step: first, our relationship with ourselves
within ourselves, and second, our relationships with others. Decisions made with self-awareness are often more reliable. In this way, we will feel extremely satisfied in our hearts.
                                                                                                  content
The 88 circular cards can be rotated 180 degrees, and we can view them from different angles: they can be rotated slightly to the left or right to create different effects. The characters in the cards
can be seen standing or prone, or even diving or flying! We can randomly draw cards, or we can turn the cards face up and choose the ones we want. One of these two methods is to use our
intuition (drawing cards), and the other is to use our rationality (card selection).
10 hollow cards: The white area is painted with a symbol of scissors. You can cut it out with small scissors or a paper knife. In this way, there will be 10 hollow cards with different shapes.
When a hollow card is placed on top of another card, one part of the card is obscured and another part is brought into the foreground. The hollow cards can also be placed on top and rotated. At
this time, the surprise is right in front of you! You can also place the hollow card under the card you drew, making the two cards into a group, and then turn them over together. After turning it over,
if you rotate the hollow card again, a new picture will appear. In addition, you can also design different hollow cards by yourself.
                                                                                       Instructions and suggestions for use
The use of cards can be mainly divided into 5 basic principles (also basic etiquette). This principle can also be followed when using other OH card series works. It is central to the use of cards and
builds trust between participants. In the process, we do not criticize different values, nor do we interpret other people's explorations differently. This is the core purpose of the OH card school. The
5 Basic Principles create an atmosphere of mutual respect where people can express themselves freely and communicate creatively. The 5 basic principles are as follows:
1. The process of exploring cards should be candid and personal, expressed in the first person whenever possible. Avoid content that is too general, philosophical or idealistic change.
2. You can omit it at any time. Participants can decide whether or not they want to talk about the cards they drew.
3. When exploring, do not interrupt participants.
4. There is no right or wrong
statement about cards. No matter who it is, they can interpret it based on the cards they see.
5. After participants have completed their exploration, others can give feedback. Feedback is asking questions about the exploration or sharing what you heard or
observed (e.g.
body language). The purpose of feedback is to support and clarify, not to reinterpret someone else's exploration.
After describing and associating the cards, we find ourselves entering into a conversation. There is no fixed way for INUK's exploration to end: group members may put the cards aside and
engage in new exchanges and discussions. At this point, cards become a tool for people to communicate their ideas. It can also be used as an icebreaker to bring people together through
creative conversations.
                                                                                             Use alone
 Reflection
Spread the cards face up and choose a card that resonates with you. Simply think about what relationship this painting has to you now? Write it down. Choose a hollow card and place it on
this picture. It will expose one part and cover the other part. How has this changed for you? You can select another picture card and repeat this step. In this way, you will gradually become familiar
with the process.
Spread the cards face down, randomly select a card, and repeat the above steps.
Variation: Can be used in groups and share the process of self-talk with others. This is also a way for group members to introduce themselves.
 *Classification
Divide the cards into two piles, one pile representing the "known" parts, and the other pile representing the "unknown" parts. Pick a card from "Unknown" that appeals to you the most. What do
you see in it? What draws you to it?
Variation: Which cards symbolize contentment for you? What cards represent parts of you that you haven’t discovered yet but want to explore? You can also categorize cards in your own way.
 *Life is art
Everyone has many resources, including time, skills, knowledge, networks, and more. Although they look diverse, they constitute the work of art "My Life", and each one is an indispensable part.
Pick a card to represent your life and give it a name.
                                                                                                            -2-
- What's unique about it? - How has
it become central to your life? - What other parts
do you need? How can you find them?
Variation: Expand the cards, face down, and draw 10 cards. Turn over the cards and divide them into 3 categories as follows: 1. Feeling good 2. Feeling bad 3. Average. Then within each
category, rank the reactions from strongest to weakest. Among the 3 categories, pick out the card with the strongest reaction. There will be 3 cards in total, and use these 3 cards to explore.
 *Explore the ice
Think of "self-knowledge" as a bubble that is trapped in very deep water at first, however, its nature should be to float to the surface. If the water is covered with a thin layer of ice, the bubbles
cannot rise to the surface. Using this metaphor, put your curiosity on exploring that thin layer of ice. Which cards symbolize thin ice? Which cards might melt the ice?
Use in combination with OH card
INUK's circular card cards can be perfectly combined with the word cards in the OH card, because the words on the two long sides around the word card will be covered by the circular card, while the words
on the two short sides are clearly visible. The various usage methods introduced in the OH card manual can also be applied to the INUK card. When INUK is combined with the OH card, an additional 7,744
combinations can be added!
One-on-one:
- Randomly draw 1 INUK picture card and 1 OH card word card. - Detailed
description of INUK picture cards, allowing your imagination to run
freely. - A word card that describes the OH card based on your own subjective opinion (not based on the objective meaning in the dictionary). Sometimes it is helpful to explore the word's
antonyms. - Explore by
combining flashcards with pictures and see how they complement each other. - Use first person,
and present tense sentences. Avoid talking about empty, abstract and past stories. Use word cards and pictures to describe your current life.
                                                                                               Group use
 Partners on the journey
Spread the cards face down. Each participant takes a card and contributes a paragraph to the story based on their interpretation. Therefore, this story is made up of each person's account.
This process is also a journey of self-awareness. What adventures will we encounter during our journey? How should we face it?
 Explore step by step
Self-knowledge is a broad topic. In groups, we can break this concept down into smaller parts, such as: strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, goals, and expectations. - Turn the cards face
up and choose the best card
for one of the categories. - Which card means the most to you? Communicate with
each other and share your findings.
 From metaphor to reality
Ask yourself in your mind, "What do I want to learn?" Then pick a card and use it to describe yourself and answer that question. If you described it metaphorically, describe it again in a literal
way.
Variation: In my dream, this card represents... When I bring this issue into real life, it represents...
 I am...
randomly select a card, think of yourself as a person in the picture, describe where you are? How do I feel here? What direction am I heading in?
 * Randomly draw
a card from different viewpoints, and do not let others watch it first. Interpret the card yourself and write it down in writing. Then turn over the card and ask one person in the group to interpret
the card. Check your notes, compare the two interpretations without making value judgments, and feel the different perspectives of the two people.
                                                                                                              -3-
*Three stages: Children, youth and adults
randomly select 10 cards and classify them according to the three stages of life. Within each category, rank each card according to its importance to you. Describe what you discovered
during this classification and sorting process?
 When I think of...Choose
a card and describe it in the following sentence: "When I think of..., I think of...". You can choose an issue or person as the subject of your description. If you want to make yourself the
subject of exploration, use the following sentence to describe it: "When I think of myself, I think... I realize..."
 Become the person you
want to be. Choose the card that best represents you, including: the person you are now, the person you want to be, and the person you want to be. You can turn over the cards and
use your pick, or you can draw cards randomly. Then, arrange the cards in order. Where do you think you are now? The above can be discussed in groups.
 Walking in beauty The word
"Walking in beauty" comes from the Peblo people of North America. It symbolizes a way of life and also represents a state of balance for people, who can be in harmony with
themselves and the environment. get along. You can draw or select cards to depict yourself in a balanced state. Observe, what is the basis for your choice of cards? Undecided? With
what mood, expectations or goals?
About the symbol of the anchor
The anchor connects the ship to the earth and holds the ship in one position. With this grounded connection, the ship will not drift. There is no need to steer at this time and the
helmsman can take a good rest. Stable anchors are located at the ends of long chains, allowing the boat to swing safely within a fixed radius.
Randomly draw 10 cards and select 3 cards related to yourself among the 10 cards. Which card represents your own characteristics? It can stabilize you like an anchor. Even if the
waves are rough, it will not let you drift with the current. Ask yourself: How do you maintain this quality? You can draw another card and find out.
Variation: How to maintain this quality? You can choose one of the animal cards in the "RESILIO" as the answer.
*My point of view, your point of view
Place the word cards in the OH card face up in the middle, a total of 12 cards. Can be arranged into 2 rows of 6 cards, or 3 rows of 4 cards. Randomly draw an INUK card, look at this
card, put it on the word card that you think is most suitable, and briefly explain why you chose to put it on this word card. Each participant picked up the same card in sequence, placed
the card on the word card according to his or her own ideas, and gave a brief explanation of his choice.
                                                                                    About OH series cards
INUK is one of the OH series of cards. These works constitute a genre of their own. Every kind of card on the market can be used as a game, but the OH series of cards does not
involve any strategy or points. It does not matter whether you win or lose. It is not an oracle card and has no so-called card meaning. Users can define their own cards.
This type of card is like a book without words, inviting users to use their own metaphors and imagination to enrich the content of the book. This type of work has its own artistic style
and theme, and all works can be used together with each other. This means that each deck of cards is a complete work in itself, and it is also an accessory that can be matched
with different works to produce unlimited combinations.
These cards are widely used in various professional fields. Any card can help us connect with our intuition and let imagination and inspiration become part of our thinking. Games have
therefore become a part of work.
The OH series of cards is also a new art form, which is somewhere between games and books. Cards are like a box of colorful paint, turning its user into an artist. The usage methods
introduced earlier do not limit the form of the game. Users can modify and change it according to their own needs. However, no matter what method is used, 5 basic principles (also
basic etiquette) should be followed. These principles create an environment of mutual respect and appreciation that is free from value judgments. In this environment, all participants
can express their creativity and ideas and have them witnessed by others.
The INUK card can be used by individuals and groups and can be used in private or professional settings. We sincerely invite you to find your own way of using it and share your
experience with us so that it can be passed on to more people. The journey of self-discovery is so rich and has so many different methods and approaches. The INUK card uses
artistic techniques to contribute to self-exploration in a lively and vivid way.
