Hello everyone, today I will introduce you to the beautiful country of Jordan.
Jordan is a country in the Middle East, bordered by Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Israel,
and Palestine. The country has existed since May twenty-fifth, nineteen forty-six,
when it gained its independence. Its capital city is Amman, and its official language is
Arabic.
The history of Jordan is very rich, the result of the many civilizations that have
succeeded on its territory over the centuries. Remains from the Roman era can still
be admired today, such as the Amman theater.
Now I’m going to talk about the tourism side of the country.
To get to Jordan, it is possible to take a plane to Queen Alia International Airport,
located near Amman. From here you can travel by car, taxi or public transport to
explore the different regions of the country. When it comes to accommodation,
Jordan offers a range of options, from luxury hotels to traditional Bedouin desert
camps.
The iconic monuments of Jordan attract visitors from all over the world, but none are
as impressive as Petra, the ancient Nabataean city that is home to the "Khazneh"
carved into the pink sandstone cliffs, which has been recognized by UNESCO as
one of the new seven wonders of the world.
Among the cities to visit, Amman stands out for its vibrant nightlife and captivating
museums. Aqaba, on the shores of the Red Sea, seduces with its beaches. And
Madaba, with its magnificent Byzantine mosaics, bears witness to a rich artistic
heritage.
Activities in Jordan are as varied as they are captivating. Floating on the salty waters
of the Dead Sea or exploring the colorful reefs during a diving session in the Red
Sea offer unique experiences. The Wadi Rum desert, with its canyons and natural
arches, is a must-see, especially for camel trekking.
Finally, Jordanian cuisine is a delicious blend of Middle Eastern flavors. Typical
dishes include hummus, maqluba, falafel and many others.
In conclusion, Jordan offers a superb mix of history, beautiful landscapes and
adventure.
I highly recommend exploring this fascinating country.
