THE MAGICAL MOON FLOWER

Once their lived a colony of fairies inside the deep forests


of Amazon. They called their colony Amigos. They were
the most powerful creatures in the forest. Once every 20
years they used to hold a ceremony where they would
choose their next queen among the most powerful fairies.
One fairy named Glinda was very cruel, greedy and
wicked. She wanted to rule the Amigos but nobody
accepted her as the queen. Instead they made Glinda’s
little sister Flora the queen. Flora was kind, gentle and
loving. After Flora was made the queen of Fairy Land,
Glinda started to hate her sister. She wanted to take
revenge. So, she started to learn black magic.
The forest flourished in the rule of Queen Flora.
Everything was good. Until the forest was attacked by
Glinda. But thanks to Flora she managed to protect the
forest. Somehow some creatures were injured. But they
recovered very soon with help of Queen Flora.
After some years a news was spread that there is a magical
flower garden which never sleeps. In the forest of Chile.
And in that garden there is a magical flower called the
Moonflower which blooms once in every 100 years. But
no one dared to go find the flower because the garden was
protected by a giant Griffin. The Griffin used to ask a
question to everybody ‘The more take from me the bigger
I get. What am I?’ and then he would kill the person who
fails to give the answer.

When Glinda heard about this she immediately stared her
journey to find the flower. When Flora came to know
about this she became very worried because she knew that
the person who possess dark magic cannot touch the
flower of purity the Moonflower. So, she started to follow
Glinda.
After a long journey of 10 days she finally reached the
forest of Chile. As she was going to enter the forest the
Griffin arrived. The asked her the same question ‘The
more you take form me bigger I get. What am I?’ Glinda
being a clever fairy answered the question and entered the
forest. There she saw something shining brightly. She
went near. What was it? It was the Moonflower. Then as
Glinda touched the flower to pray for more power the
flower started to suck her powers. She got scared and
plucked the flower. But now the flower absorbed and
prisoned Glinda inside its petals. After some time Flora
also reached there seeing her sister prisoned she started to
cry. She prayed the flower to release Glinda but the flower
said that Glinda has got the punishment for her bad deeds
and has to accept that.
Flora then took the flower to Amazon and buried the
flower in ground. After some years there grew a large tree
and do you know what fruit it produced? It produced the
JACKFRUIT.
MORAL- Greed never pays.
