PART 3

32-34 BDB
W-Am Hi, Fritz. Thanks for coming in early today. 32 We have very important
guests holding a meeting at nine in the hotel's main conference room. 33 One of the
projectors won't switch on. Could you take a look at it?
M-Au 33 Not a problem. I'll also check the other equipment and computers in
the room and run some diagnostic tests.
W-Am Thank you. Oh, and 34 let me give you the key. The room is locked right
now.

35-37 ACB
W-Br 35 Thanks for calling Lyleton Tree Service. This is Lauren. How may 1
help you today?
M-Au Hi. 36 1'm calling because one of the large oak trees on my property has
died. I'd like to have it cut down before it causes any damage.
W-Br OK, I can definitely help you with that. 37 First I'll need your address, so I
can schedule a time for one of our specialists to go out and evaluate the situation.

38-40 ACD
M-Au 38,39 1 love this men's dress shirt! Do you have it in the next larger size?
W-Am All we have left is the one you are holding. But 39 our warehouse has any
size you'd need. Would you like me to have it sent to your home?
M-Au Actually, I prefer to try shirts on. Sometimes the fit's not exact.
W-Am You can always mail it back and get a refund.
M-Au Unfortunately, I need the shirt for a business trip tomorrow.
W-Am OK. Let me check. You are in luck! 40 Our Shipleysburg store has your
size. It's not far from here.

41-43 DCD
M-Cn 41 This art gallery’s packed. Do you think it’s always like this?
M-Au I don't know, but 41 there's my friend Sofia, who owns the place. We can
ask her.
W-Br Well, look who it is! Thanks for visiting!
M-Au What a beautiful space this is! I'm so glad I'm finally getting to see it. 42 We
were just wondering if it's always busy like this.
W-Br Well, you know, it looks full because the space is so small. But yes, this is
normal for us.
M-Au Sofia, this is Aaron. He's a colleague of mine.
M-Cn Pleased to meet you, Sofia.
W-Br Nice to meet you, too. Here, 43 Iet me show you both some new prints we
just hung up. Follow me.

44-46 BAD
M-Au Amina, 44 how are plans progressing for our mobile phone release?
W-Br 44 Good - 44,45 right now, I'm working with our marketing firm to
develop the advertising campaign. There are some really great ideas for commercials and
print ads.
M-Au That's great. 46 1'm really concerned about the growing amount of
competition for this type of product. A lot of our competitors will also be putting out new
phones around the same time, so it's important that ours stands out in the market.
47-49 BAD
M-Cn Luisa, how did your presentation at the food chemistry conference go?
W-Br Very well, thanks. 47,48 I'm hoping the presentation increases my chances
of receiving the Innovation Award this year.
M-Cn That would be fantastic!
W-Br Of course, some of the numbers in my presentation came from you. 48 The
statistics you gave-me really improved it.
M-Cn I'm glad those numbers were helpful. By the way, 49 did you see the e-mail
saying that recordings of presentations should be uploaded to our server?
W-Br 49 Thanks for reminding me. I'll take care of that this afternoon.

50-52 DCC
M-Au Eniola, we have a problem. 50 We got a notice from the city saying the
water will be shut off tomorrow from six A.M. till noon due to construction on the
street.
W-Am Oh, no! 51 Then we won't be able to open for breakfast. Hopefully we'll be
able to serve lunch and dinner though.
M-Au Yes, we'll need to let the servers know. 52 1'11 call everyone who's
scheduled to work the morning shift and let them know that they don't need to come in.

53-55 BCC
M-Cn All right, Marion. 53 The new health-care software is all set up on your
computer now. You've done the training already, so it should be straightforward.
W-Am Great. I hear a lot of health-care providers are switching to this same software.
M-Cn Yes-54 this platform's becoming popular because patients can access all
their medical records from different providers through one central system rather than
having separate profiles for each office.
W-Br 55 Sorry to interrupt.
M-Cn 55 No problem, Francesca. I've just finished up here. 55 What do you need?
W-Br 55 These forms need to be signed before the courier arrives at ten A.M.

56-58 DCA
W-Br Hi, Gregor. 56 Have you had time to review the plan for maintenance on
the Springville train line? Remember, we're voting on it during tomorrow's city council
meeting.
M-Au I have. And I have some reservations.
W-Br Oh? What are they?
M-Au Well, 57 shutting down that train line for six full weeks in the summer will
not be popular with residents. I think I'm going to object to the plan. How about you?
W-Br Well, Summer is the region's busiest season.
M-Au I think we should investigate weekend-only maintenance.
W-Br Good idea. 58 I will write up a list of our concerns to discuss at the
meeting.

59-61 AAD
M-Cn Hi. 59,60 1 am having trouble submitting my monthly car payment online.
The system keeps telling me that my user name and password are incorrect, but l'm sure 1
entered them correctly.
W-Am Thank you for your call, Mr. Ibrahim. 60 1 apologize, but we're having a
problem with our payment network this morning.
M-Cn 61 My car payment is due today. Will I have to pay extra or be penalized
in some way?
W-Am 61 No, we're guaranteeing that this will not happen to our valued
customers.

62-64 BCA
M-Au Hello. 62 You've reached Graham and Associates.
W-Am Hi. 62 I'd like to meet with someone about managing my accounts and
preparing my taxes. Would I be able to speak to an associate sometime next week?
M-Au Of course! 63 Marcel Breton is accepting new clients. Are you available
the fifteenth?
W-Am Hmm. 63 No, I'm not. Would the sixteenth work?
M-Au 63 Yes, I believe so. We have a staff meeting until eleven A.M., but Marcel
has some availability afterwards.
W-Am That works! 64 Can I have his e-mail address in case I need to contact him
beforehand?

65-67 BCD
M-Au Hi. 65 1'd like to order fifty custom sweatshirts with my company's logo
on them.
W-Br 65 Great. We can put it anywhere you like, such as on the sleeve, on the
back, or right in front.
M-Au 66 Could you put the logo in the bottom corner, near the waist?
W-Br Yes, we can. 67 For fifty sweatshirts, it takes around three weeks for
embroidery and two weeks for printing.
M-Au Actually, 67 1 was hoping to have them next week. Would it be possible to
pay for expedited service?
W-Br Yes, we do offer rush service. Could you come in on Thursday to approve a
mock-up?

68-70 BCC
W-Am 68 Are you excited about our upcoming performance at the harvest
festival this weekend?
M-Cn 68 Yes, after all the rehearsing we've done, I think our band is ready to
put on a good show.
W-Am Right. 69 Although I'm slightly concerned about our new drummer, since
he doesn't have much stage experience. He might be nervous when he does his drum solo.
M-Cn You have a point. 70 The solo is in the Brandon Toprak song. We could
replace that one with the other song we've been practicing together, "City Daydreams."
Let's ask him about it.
