EYES Pair 12mm 0R 14mm toy kitten’s eyes either with metal or
plastic backs

W+Tp take working yarn to the back of the work, slip next st purl- Row 6 Purl. PM (place a stitch marker) on 1st stitch for left muzzle
wise onto the RH needle, bring working yarn to the front, slip the marker and 7th stitch for left cheek marker
slipped stitch back onto the LH needle, turn the knitting = W+Tp

Work short rows to shape left cheek as follows:
Short Row 1 K6, W+Tk (wrap and turn knit, see special instruction)
Short Row 2 P4, W+Tp (wrap and turn purl)
Short Row 3 K3, W+Tk
Short Row 4 P5 to end
Stop the knitting whilst you join the nose seam as follows:
RS (knitside) facing match the cast on edges from kitten’s left and
right muzzle (see Fig. 1) and back stitch to join the small seam (see
vertical dotted line Fig. 2). Turn out so right side facing.
With WS facing, working on one side at a time, match the nose marker
with the muzzle marker (see Fig. 1) and mattress stitch to join from
markers to the nose point/ seam (see diagonal dotted line Fig. 2).
With a single length of pink yarn embroider straight stitches over the
THROAT
MARKER knitted pink triangular nose to enhance the nose shape.
Then embroider a length of grey mohair to define the bottom of the
nose (see Fig. 3).
Remove nose and muzzle markers.

end at the chin, working on one side of the muzzle at a time, ease edge
together, mattress stitch along the edge from the nose/ chin to the Jaw

kitten carefully - not too much, not too little - what you are looking
