Instructions :
 Do your homework neatly and on your own.
 Learn and revise all the work done in the class.
 Make your own time table for the summer vacation.
For example:

Time Activity
6:30 am - 7:30 am Wake up, brush teeth, take bath
7:30 am - 8:30 am Go for a walk, reading newspaper

 Appreciate Nature – Take long walks in parks or gardens with family/friends. It’s a great way to unwind
and connect with nature.
 Good manners matter – Always respect parents, grandparents and elders. Use Sorry, Please and Thank
you.
 Stay Fit, Stay Healthy – Engage in your favourite game or sport regularly to keep fit.
 Save Nature – Help conserve the environment by reducing waste and using resources like – water, fuel and
electricity judiciously.
 Read more, Watch less T.V.
 Must do – Eat healthy food and drink lots of water & juices.
 Plan Your Day and Journal – Before bed, write down your task for the next day in a diary. Also, plan your
tasks for the next day.
 Educational Entertainment – Watch educational channels like National Geographic, Discovery Fox,
History etc. Also some YouTube channels like a) Timeline of World History b) Rise and fall of ancient
cities c) Movies such as
(i) Invictus (ii) Enigma (iii) Hidden figures
(iv) Rocket Boys (v) Mission Mangal (vi) Sound of Music
(vii) Matilda (viii) Maleficient (ix) Hirak Rajar Deshe (Satyajit Ray)
(x) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (xi) God must be crazy Part1 and 2
 Involve yourself in some household chores like laying the table, watering the plant, washing your own
plates, cleaning your cupboards etc.
ENGLISH
1) Say farewell to the notebook cover that looks like everyone else’s. Get innovative and design your own
notebook cover. Write suitable Proverbs or Quotations on the “Importance of Reading” on it.

2) Think and write about any 2 things that bring smile on your face. Also think and write down someways that
you can make someone smile.

3) Words are the most inexhaustible source of magic. It creates a whole cascade of thinking that leads to
better mastery of a language.

- Prepare vocabulary Bingo card. (One word daily for 20 days)


- The card must contain words in capital letter, its meaning, antonyms, synonyms and one sentence.

4) Learn the LR poem :

5) Book are uniquely portable magic. When books are opened, you discover you have wings!

- Read any book of your choice from the options given below and write a synopsis of the book

MATHS

1) Prepare a calendar of your birthday month using Roman numbers. Colour your birthday date using
blue colour.

2) CRICKET MANIA

You all must have enjoyed the recent IPL matches. Collect the data of 5 cricketers who scored maximum
runs in IPL 2024.

Now, do as directed:
i) Add the runs scored by these 5 cricketers and write it in words.
ii) Form the greatest and smallest numbers by the digits of the sum obtained in part (i) and find their
difference.
iii) Write expanded form of the sum obtained in part (i) and greatest and smallest numbers formed in
part (ii)

3) Write 10 lines on the contribution of Mathematician ‘Brahmagupta’. Paste pictures also.


4) Learn multiplication tables from 2 to 17.

5) Solve the following exercises in the book.

Ex- 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26.

6) Revise Unit 1 and practice 5 sums from your Maths book daily in Maths Practice Copy.

SCIENCE
(To be done on A-4 sheet.)

1) Plant Adaptation Detectives:

This holiday break, we’ll transform into detectives to uncover the amazing secrets of plant adaptations.
Grab your magnifying glasses (optional, but fun!) and let’s get started!
• Mission-I : Become a plant adaptation artist!
- Choose a plant you learned about and create a model showing its adaptations.
Materials required : paper, scissors, glue, markers, pictures of different plants.
i) On paper, draw and cut out the main parts of the plant (stem, leaves, roots).
ii) Label the adaptation of your chosen plant.
iii) Use pictures or additional drawings to show the plant’s environment.
• Mission-II : Save the park
- Suppose there is a park in your neighbourhood which is a habitat to a variety of plants, and it is going to
be destroyed to build a shopping mall or for any other purpose.
Write down a few steps you would take to save the park.

2) Bread mould experiment:-

Bread is a perfect environment for microscopic fungi known as mould to grow. Follow the steps of the
bread mould experiment to see how a bit of moisture, a little warmth and a bit of time grows a furry green
sandwich.

3) Do your bit :

“Use paper with care, So our trees don’t become rare.”


As a conscious student you try to minimize the use of paper as much as you can. So this summer collect
all papers which are blank on one side (bills, old copies etc.). Using colourful ribbons, stapler, old buttons
make a beautiful ‘Hand Booklet’ with a colourful cover page. Use it to write your daily to do list.

SOCIAL SCIENCE
1) Each day opens a new account of 24 hours. Don’t fail to use the day’s deposit. The clock is ticking….
Get started.
How well do you know your Capital Delhi. Name the following and paste pictures and also write five
lines on them. (Do it on A-4 sheet.)
i) Five historical monuments
ii) Five popular places of tourist attraction
2) Be the Nature Saviour
Wild animals are coming to our cities. One of the reason being Deforestation.
i) Write four causes of deforestation.
ii) Make a poster on Save Wild Life, Save Nature.

3) Read and learn L1 and L2.
