Introduction to the Project Undertaken

1. Introduction

In my internship, I have gained hands-on experience in a variety of technologies, including HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, SQL, System Design, and currently, I am working with Linux and the MERN Stack. This
journey has allowed me to explore various aspects of full-stack development, which encompasses
both front-end (client-side) and back-end (server-side) development.

CRM software is designed to help businesses build and manage relationships with both current and
prospective customers. At its core, a CRM holds all customer data in one place, making it accessible
and usable across different departments. It helps organizations track leads, monitor sales pipelines,
manage customer interactions, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction and retention. The tool
integrates different aspects of the customer journey, from lead generation to deal closure.​

Key Features of Zoho CRM:​

Lead Management: Allows tracking of all leads assigned to different ISMs (Inside Sales
Managers), enabling follow-ups and setting reminders for next steps.​

Task Monitoring: Enables keeping track of daily, weekly, or monthly tasks and ensures timely
follow-ups.​

Notes and Documentation: Provides the ability to document progress, record important
observations, and communicate with team members.​

The tool’s flexibility allowed me to efficiently track leads, follow up on tasks, and ensure that nothing
was overlooked during the sales process.​
Challenges Faced and Solutions

During my initial phase, I found it challenging to meet daily targets. However, I remained persistent,
working diligently and even staying beyond regular hours to catch up on tasks. This allowed me to
gain a deeper understanding of the requirements and expectations.

A particularly challenging experience was during my work on an AWS-based project. While deploying
a website, I initially struggled to understand the code. However, through continuous effort and
learning, I gained clarity. I had enrolled in an AWS Solutions Architect course, which proved to be
extremely valuable in helping me understand and implement the project successfully. My manager
played a significant role in supporting me through these difficulties, providing guidance, insights, and
encouragement whenever necessary.

Learning Outcomes

Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to learn and work with various technologies,
including AWS, Ethical Hacking, Linux, Cloud Computing, and Databases. Each of these technologies
added a new layer of understanding to my skill set and broadened my technical knowledge.

As an Inside Sales Manager (ISM), the following responsibilities were part of my role:

Operations and support play critical roles in ensuring the smooth functioning of any organization.
These departments form the backbone of the business, overseeing day-to-day activities and providing
essential support to both internal teams and external customers. Their primary aim is to ensure that
all operations run efficiently and that any issues or challenges are addressed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities as an Operations Executive include:

Ensuring Smooth Training Delivery: Ensuring that the training programs run smoothly for all
participants who have registered and paid for courses.

Website Management: Keeping the website up to date with the latest course units and pages.

Trainer Availability: Ensuring that trainers are available for the courses; if a trainer is unavailable,
actively searching for a replacement via platforms like LinkedIn and Upwork.

Trainer Discussions: Coordinating with trainers regarding advertisements and their availability.

Feedback Collection and Action: Collecting participant feedback using platforms like SurveyMonkey
and taking necessary actions based on the feedback received.

Course Content Improvement: Continuously working to improve the quality of course content and
the performance of trainers.

Resolving Operational Queries: Addressing any operational queries raised by the support team.

Class Scheduling: Sending class schedules to participants in a timely manner.

Operations at Intellipaat is varied and dynamic, encompassing everything from trainer recruitment to
gathering student feedback and maintaining the backend of the website. My responsibilities evolved
over time, starting with trainer recruitment and later transitioning to gathering feedback and
managing content on the website.

In operations, there are 10 members in the team, and I was fortunate to gain experience across
different tasks. My role involved creating course pages, uploading videos, and managing content on
the Learning Management System (LMS). I also worked on coordinating sessions and ensuring that
everything was in place for smooth course delivery every weekend.

Starting and Managing the Session: The weekend sessions typically ran from 8 PM to 11 PM, and my
role involved managing the logistics of the session.

This includes:

Session Setup: Starting the session on Zoom, ensuring the trainer joins the session, and assigning
them the role of presenter and organizer.

Recording Management: Ensuring that the session is being recorded for future access.

Creating Units and Course Pages: Each week, new units and course pages were created for upcoming
batches. I was responsible for managing these updates, ensuring that the website was regularly
refreshed with new content. I used the admin credentials to access the WordPress dashboard, where I
created new course pages and uploaded videos for each unit.
Trainer Search via LinkedIn:

Every week, there were specific requirements for trainers across different courses. I was responsible
for searching for suitable trainers on LinkedIn, initiating contact, and discussing availability and
compensation. Once terms were agreed upon, I would send them a confirmation email, along with a
Purchase Order (PO) outlining the terms and conditions.

Collecting Feedback via SurveyMonkey:

SurveyMonkey was used to collect feedback after each session. The responses were compiled into an
Excel sheet, and necessary actions were taken based on the feedback received from participants.

Downloading and Uploading Session Videos:

After each session, the Zoom recording would be processed and made available for download. I was
responsible for downloading the session videos and uploading them to Vimeo, where they were then
linked to the appropriate course pages.

Quality Assurance of Sessions:

Every Wednesday, I had to submit a QA report to my manager. This involved reviewing the session
recordings to ensure that the trainer answered all questions, shared screens as required, and was
punctual for the session.

Support Executive Role:

Working as a Support Executive required patience and tact. It involved resolving participant issues
promptly, managing customer complaints, and ensuring that all queries were handled efficiently.
Support tickets were managed using Freshdesk, a customer service software that allowed us to track
the status of each ticket and ensure timely resolution.
