AFFIDAVIT OF ARREST
I, PMS. Jerome Ramirez, of legal age, Filipino, married, and presently assigned at the Laoag City
Police Station, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with law, do hereby depose and state that:
1. I am a Police Master Sergeant of the Philippine National Police, with badge number 459876, assigned
at the Women and Children Protection Desk, Laoag City Police Station, Brgy. 4 San Vicente, Laoag
City, Ilocos Norte;
2. That on January 15, 2025, at about 8:30 o’clock in the evening, Cristine Langomez y Bagcal, 44 years
old, Filipino, married, housewife, and a resident of Brgy. 11, San Juan, Laoag City, personally appeared
at the Women and Children Protection Desk to report that her minor daughter, Nicolle Langomez, 17
years old, was allegedly raped earlier that evening;
3. That based on the sworn statement of Cristine Langomez and the narration of the victim, at around
7:00 o’clock in the evening of January 15, 2025, Nicolle was offered a ride home by his uncle, Denmark
Agcerano y Bangi, 36 years old, Filipino, single, tricycle driver, and a resident of Brgy. 11, San Juan,
Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Instead of bringing her home, the suspect diverted his tricycle to an
abandoned house at Brgy. 8, Laoag City, where he allegedly raped her and threatened her not to
scream;
4. That after the incident, Nicolle returned home and immediately informed her mother, who then reported
the matter to our office;
5. Upon receipt of the complaint, I, together with PCpl. Mar, under the supervision of PLT. Mark Anthony
G. Reyes, Chief of the Women and Children Protection Desk, conducted a case conference and
coordinated with Brgy. Officials;
6. That at about 11:00 o’clock in the evening of January 15, 2025, while we were preparing to conduct an
operation for the possible apprehension of the suspect, Denmark Agcerano y Bangi, accompanied by
his elder brother, Mr. Daniel Agcerano, and Brgy. Captain Roberto M. Villanueva, voluntarily appeared
and surrendered at the Laoag City Police Station, manifesting his intention to submit himself to the
authorities regarding the complaint filed against him;
7. Upon his voluntary surrender, we informed Denmark Agcerano y Bangi of the nature of the complaint
and apprised him of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine. He was then placed under arrest for the
crime of Rape, in violation of Article 266-b of the Revised Penal Code, in Relation to Republic Act No.
8353;
8. That the suspect was booked and photographed at the Laoag City Police Station. The victim was
referred to Laoag City General Hospital for medico-legal examination, and her statement was taken in
the presence of her mother and a social worker;
9. That this affidavit is executed to attest to the facts stated herein and for filing appropriate charges
against Denmark Agcerano y Bangi.
