CURRY DIP
1 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 teas. curry powder
1 teas. garlic salt or powder
1 teas. vinegar (I used cider vinegar).
FRUIT SALAD
3 Kiwi
1 reg. can pineapple tidbits
2 banana's
1 reg. can mandarin oranges
3 apples
Grapes
4 plums
maraschino cherries
16 oz frozen, sweet strawberries w/juice
Also, sometimes I add a can of peach pie filling. It makes the juice a
little thicker.
You can add any fresh fruit or canned fruit. Also, juice from the
cherries & canned fruit.
FRESH FRUIT DRINK
3 each, med. size lemons & limes.
4or 5 oranges.
Squeeze juice, add 1
cup sugar or to your taste & tartness of fruit. Put in 1 gallon
container & finish filling with water.
STRAWBERRY ANGEL FOOD CAKE
1 box Angel Food cake mix
1 sm box strawberry jello
approx. 2 tablespoon flour
Mix & bake as directed on cake mix box.
Icing
1 stick butter & 1 box pwd. sugar
fresh sliced strawberries w/sugar (mostly berries)
I think a tub of Cool Whip Cream Cheese icing (in frozen food) w/
strawberries added would be very good!
STRAWBERRY PARFAIT PIE
Dissolve one 3 oz package strawberry jello in 1 cup hot water. Add
1/2 cup cold water: stir. Add 1 pint vanilla ice cream cut in 6
chunks; stir till melted. Chill till mixture mounds slightly when
spooned (20 to 30 minules).
Gently fold in 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries. Pour into baked
cooled 9 inch pastry shell. Chill till firm, 20 to 25 minutes. Trim
with whipped cream and berries.
TACO SALAD
1 lb ground beef, browned - add l pkg. taco seasoning as pkg directions
green peppers
onions
1 can kidney or black beans
1 sm. can sliced black olives
Tomatoes
lettuce
shredded cheese
Catalina dressing
corn chips
May serve sour cream & salsa on side
(I usually brown meat with taco season first & let cool a little)
FROZEN FRUIT PUNCH
6 cups water
1 6 oz can frozen orange juice
3 cups sugar
1 6 oz can frozen lemonade
1 48 oz can pineapple juice
4 medium banana's
2 quarts gingerale
Boil water & sugar for 2 minutes. Mix orange juice & lemonade & add to
sugar water.
Add mashed banana's. Pour into containers & freeze. Add gingeral before serving.
I like to put some of the frozen mixture into individual glasses &
then add the gingerale.
