JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Oversee high-risk tasks such as transformer installation, switchgear testing, and cable pulling.
 Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated during substation construction.
 Monitor trench excavation for safe depths and slope stability.
 Ensuring proper shoring or shielding to prevent cave-ins.
 Training of workers in safe cable handling and pulling procedures.
 Enforce electrical safety measures when working with live cables.
 Issue and monitor permits for excavation, confined spaces, and hot work.
 Implement road safety measures to manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic near excavation sites.
 Ensure trenches are backfilled and sites are restored to their original condition after cable installation.
 Making sure workers use fall arrest systems when working at heights on poles or towers.
 Conduct training on working at heights and pole climbing.
 Enforcing lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures for power line isolation.
 Maintaining safe working distances from energized lines.
 Inspect cranes, bucket trucks, and other lifting equipment.
 Suspend work during thunderstorms or high winds.
 Identify potential hazards during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
 Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
 Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
 Develop emergency response plans, including fire and electrical shock scenarios.
 Ensure proper disposal of transformer oil and other chemicals.
 Provide support to Project team in all aspects of occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
 Inspecting entire work site based on planned schedule and taking suitable steps to eliminate all unsafe
conditions.
 Investigate and complete process for close out of all Accident.
 Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned.
 Manage Safety Weekly, Monthly HSE statistic reporting; provide regular HSE performance reporting to
Department head.
 Conducting in-house HSE training programs, conducting emergency mock drills.
 Attending all HSE meetings with client and their representatives to raise safety issues and constraints.
 Ensure training, TBT meetings and drills implemented as part of company's training and HSE program.
