1. Conduct a 'walk around' inspecion of the machine after each scheduled break
2. Check that brakes and steering are operating correctly when you first start moving
3. Keep the cab and access ways clear of all obstruction
4. Use signals when starting from a parked position
5. Ensure seat belt is correctly fastened and seat is correctly adjusted
