Note: General vehicle condition. Check for mechanical damage and loose or leaking components. Report faults to your supervisor or the maintenance department
Before Starting the engine, check the following
VISUAL INSPECTION Status (Ok, Not Ok, NA) Remarks
Walk around inspection (warning decals, SMV sign,etc.)
Front End (Visual Inspection)
Condition of Track (sprocket wear, idler condition)
Engine (Check oil level and for leaks)
Engine Belts (check for adjustment/wear)
Air cleaner (Check indicator, clean or change)
Radiator (check coolant level and for leaks)
Hydraulic tank (Check oil level and for leaks in fitting)
Fuel tank (secure, valve open and fuel level)
Lubricate chasis (as required, refer to lube chart)
Condition of bucket/attachement
ROPS/cab (check window, step,door,seat belt)
After starting the engine, check the following
AFTER STARTING Status (Ok, Not Ok, NA) Remarks
Engine (does it sound normal?)
Instrument ( check for normal reading)
Air intake system (check for leaks or damage)
Exhaust system (check for leaks and excessive smoke)
Wipers and lights (spotlight, beacons,etc.)
Horn and back up alarm
Control (check for operation: Swing,travel,bucket,breaker)
Brakes (parking)
Hourmeter reading
Note anything abnormal or in need of repair
