Abbreviations: Supplies:
MR = magic ring + Medium weight chenille or velvet yarn
SC = single crochet (I used Bernat Baby Velvet in Sky Blue for
the Head color and Snowy White for the
HDC = half double crochet
Belly color.)
DC = double crochet + 10mm safety eyes
INC = increase + 3.25mm crochet hook
DEC = decrease (invisible) + Scissors
SL ST = slip stitch + Darning needle
ST = stitch + Stitch marker
CH = chain * Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
BOB = bobble stitch
FLO = front loop only
FO = fasten off Difficulty:

Skills Required:
Crocheting in a spiral, magic ring,
single crochet, double crochet, half double
crochet, bobble stitch, slip stitch, increasing,
decreasing, and chaining.
HOW TO make a bobble stitch:
Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch,
yarn over pull through 2 loops. Repeat 4 more times until you have 6 loops
on your hook. Yarn over and draw through all 6 loops to complete the bobble.

BODY
Start with Head color
1: SC 8 in a MR (8)
2: INC in each ST around (16)
3: (SC, INC) x 8 (24)
4: SC in each ST around (24)
5: (2 SC, INC) x 8 (32)
6-9: SC in each ST around - 4 rounds (32)
The next round will include the tail and fins.
Note: Only the tail and fins are worked in the FLO.
10: SL ST in FLO, *CH 4, DC in 3rd CH from the hook, HDC in next, SL ST
in beginning ST* repeat, 6 SC, BOB in FLO, 17 SC, BOB in FLO, 6 SC (32)
Change to Belly color.
11: BLO (2 SC, DEC) x 8 (24)
Add eyes between rounds 8-9 with
approximately 6 stitches showing
between them. They should be
about 3 stitches away from the fin.
Begin stuffing the body and
continue to stuff until closed.
12: (SC, DEC) x 8 (16)
13: DEC x 8 (8)
FO and weave in the end.
