Content & Structure (2 min)

Have I answered the question appropriately?


Is my writing clear, concise and relevant?
Does my piece follow the correct format (e.g. email, speech, letter)?
Do my ideas flow logically with good paragraphing?
Language & Style (2 min)

Have I used formal/informal language correctly based on the task?


Have I varied my sentence structures to avoid repetition?
Do I have good transitions between ideas?
Grammar & Spelling (2 min)

Have I checked for common errors (verb tense, subject-verb agreement,


punctuation)?
Have I corrected any spelling mistakes?
Have I used capital letters correctly (especially for names, places, etc.)?
Final Touch (1 min)

Have I met the word count (180–200 words)?


Have I avoided contractions in formal pieces?
Is my handwriting clear and legible?
