JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT

I, DANIEL PADILLA, of Legal Age, Filipino Citizen, Single, and


Resident of Purok Villa Bali, Mabua, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur,
Philippines, a domestic helper in the household Mr. Alden Richards, as
an Accused in this case, state under oath as follows:

1. The person examining me is ATTY. ANTONIO JASON FABE with


address at P-5, Brgy. Libertad, Butuan City. The examination is
being held at the Tandag City Police Station, Rizal Street, Tandag
City, Surigao del Sur.

2. The questions are asked in the English language which I speak and
fully understand;

3. I am answering his questions fully conscious, that I do so under


oath and may face criminal liability for false testimony and
perjury.

OFFER OF TESTIMONY

The following testimony of the accused, Daniel Padilla is being


offered to prove the following:

1. To DENY participation in the crime of charged (Murder);

2. To PROVE his alibi that he was somewhere else during the alleged
incident

3. To SHOW physical impossibility that it was impossible for him to
commit the crime based on his location and activities;

4. To DEMONSTRATE that he had no reason to harm the victim


(Alden Richards); and

5. EXPOSE violation of his right to preliminary investigation

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. Q: Please state your full name, age, and occupation before the
crime happened.
A: My name is Daniel Padilla, 22 years old. I was working as a
domestic helper for Alden Richards before the crime was
happened

2. Q: What were your tasks or duties as a domestic helper of Mr.


Alden Richards?
A: I was mainly responsible for cleaning the house, buying
groceries, and helping maintain the household.

3. Q: Are you aware why a criminal case has been filed against you?
A: Yes, I am being accused of stabbing and killing my employer,
Mr. Alden Richards, inside his residence.

4. Q: What can you say about the accusation that you killed your
employer, Mr. Alden Richards?
A: I did not kill him; I respected him as my employer. I had no
intention to harm him.

5. Q: Where were you at the time when the alleged crime happened?
A: In the afternoon, Mr. Richards instructed me to buy groceries
and cleaning supplies. I left and went to the Tandag City Public
Market. I was still at the market when I heard about the incident.

6. Q: What time did you leave Mr. Richards’ residence to run these
errands?
A: I left the house at around 5:30 PM on October 12, 2024.

7. Q: How long did you stay at the public market?


A: I stayed for several hours, completing all the items Mr. Richards
asked me to buy.

8. Q: After buying the supplies, what did you do next?

A: After buying the supplies, I went back toward Mr. Richards'
house. When I arrived near the house, I saw that there were
already many people gathered and police officers had cordoned
off the area. Because of that, I was not able to enter the house
anymore.

9. Q: Do you have witnesses who can confirm your presence at the


public market during that time?
A: Yes, there are vendors at the market and a tricycle driver who
assisted me that day.

10. Q: How would you describe your relationship with Mr. Alden
Richards prior to this incident?
A: We had a good and respectful working relationship. I had no
quarrel, misunderstanding, or dispute with him.

11. Q: During your employment, did you encounter any problems


working with Mr. Alden Richards?
A: No, I did not encounter any problems. I performed my duties
properly, and we had no fights or misunderstandings.

12. Q: Were you ever reprimanded or punished by Mr. Alden


Richards before the incident?
A: No, Mr. Richards never reprimanded or punished me. He
treated me fairly.

13. Q: Before this case was filed, were you given a chance to tell your
side? If so, what happened?
A: No, I was not given any chance to explain or tell my side.

14. Q: After learning about the case, did you receive any documents
or papers from the Office of the City Prosecutor?
A: No, I did not receive any documents or papers from them.

15. Q: Before this case was filed in court, did anything happen
involving the Office of the City Prosecutor? If so, what happened?
A: Nothing happened. I was not invited or subpoenaed by the
Office of the City Prosecutor

16. Q: Were you given any chance to submit any written explanation
or answer before the case was filed?
A: No, I was not given any chance to explain or submit anything.

17. Q: Were you ever asked to appear or attend any hearing at the
Office of the City Prosecutor?
A: No, I was not asked to appear or attend any hearing there.

18. Q: Before you were charged in court, did any official from the
Office of the City Prosecutor talk to you?
A: No, no one from their office talked to me before this case was
filed.

19. Q: What is your final statement to this Honorable Court


regarding this charge against you?
A: I am completely innocent. I respectfully pray that the
Honorable Court consider my testimony and the evidence that
will be presented to prove my innocence.
