Detailed below are two improvements which have recently been added to propeller
synchronizer systems installed on Super Skymasters, 310's, Skynights and 411's.

1) New Propeller Synchronizer Rod Ends

We are now using on production a newly designed rod end, which

has been designed to eliminate possible loosening of the Control
at the governor (Reference figure 71A, Super Skymaster Parts
Catalog). This new rod end has been completely encased and a
lock tab has been added to safety the jamb nut. New rod ends are
available from the Cessna Service Parts Center--Part Number and
Suggested List Price shown below.

Part Number Suggested List Price

0850458-9 Rod End (310/320/411) $156.00 (A) each

It is recommended that rod ends on earlier aircraft be checked at

each aircraft inspection for signs of looseness. Replacements should
be made using the new design ( part number shown above ).

synchronizer actuators have been increased to eliminate bending.
Actuators incorporating this change are identified by the letter

presently being used on production, Part Number and Suggested List
Price are shown below, and should be used for all replacements in
the field.
