LTOL project
Through my group project experiences this year, I have learned a
lot about myself as a team player. I realize that I contribute by
sharing ideas, helping with research, and ensuring tasks are
completed on time. I try to apply the 5 R’s by staying accountable
and adapting when challenges arise. The 7 C’s also guided me,
especially in creativity and commitment. Additionally, I applied
all 16 Habits of Mind, like persisting and thinking flexibly, to
improve teamwork.
Two strengths I bring to group work are organization and active
listening. In a Science project, I created a detailed timeline to
divide tasks, ensuring we met deadlines efficiently. This
prevented last-minute rushes and improved our final
presentation. On the other hand, during an English presentation,
I made sure everyone’s ideas were heard and included by
summarizing key points and asking quieter members for input.
This created a more inclusive and productive discussion.
However, my biggest weakness is unequal contribution. For
example, in a History project, I unevenly distributed work,
unintentionally overloading some members while others
contributed less. This made the more engaged teammates feel
frustrated and increased stress within the group. Reflecting on
this, I realize I should have communicated expectations more
clearly from the start. Moving forward, I will create a more
detailed and fair task distribution plan and check in regularly to
ensure everyone is involved. I’ll also encourage peer feedback to
keep contributions balanced.
