Chapter 1: Getting Started with CUSIP and
Fidelity
The CUSIP (Committee on Uniform Securities
Identification Procedures) number is often associated with
financial assets .
In some cases, this number can help identify and locate
assets connected to your birth certificate , potentially
enabling you to address debt tied to it.
Here’s how to start:
1. Create a Fidelity Account
o Go to Fidelity.com.
o If you already have an account, log in. If not,
click “Open an Account.” It’s free and takes less
than three minutes . A basic account allows
you to access information about assets tied to
CUSIP numbers.
2. Navigating the Fidelity Interface
o After logging in, look for the “News and
Research” section at the top of the page. Hover
over it, and a drop-down menu will appear.
o From the drop-down menu, select “Quotes.”

Chapter 2: Entering Your Birth Certificate
Number
This part is crucial because the accuracy of the Birth
Certificate number you enter can make a big difference in
your final results.
Here’s how to enter it correctly:
1. Locate Your Birth Certificate Number
o You can find this number on your birth
certificate. It usually has a mix of digits, but
make sure it’s exactly 10 digits long.
o If your birth certificate number has fewer than 10
digits, add zeros at the beginning.
If it has more than 10 digits, remove extra digits
from the end.
2. Enter the Number on Fidelity
o On the “Research & Quotes” section on Fidelity,
Enter the 10-digit number from your birth
certificate and hit “Enter”.
o If it doesn’t work, try adding spaces between the

information, you’ll see a fund symbol associated
with the fund containing your birth certificate. It
may say something like FSTLM for example.

certificate. :
