EVACUATION ROUTES
STUDENTS WILL QUEUE INTO LINES OF BOYS AND GIRLS IN MOVING TO THE
ASSEMBLY AREA (FIELD).
1. 1S -1G will form two lines and move to assemble area on the field using the
gate beside the Music Room.
2. 2S, 2T and 2J will use the stair case at 1T and enter the field through the
gate beside the Music Room.
3. 2A and 1O will use the staircase in front of the library. Lab 1 will also use
this staircase and walk along the walk way behind the mini café to the gate
beside the music room.
4. Persons in the Library will use the same route as 1G.
5. Lab 2, Lab 3 and Tech Room will use the staircase beside the enhancement
room to the walk way behind the mini café and enter the assembly area
using the gate beside the music room.
6. Persons in the Art Room , Geography Room , Smart Room and Dean of
Discipline office will use the staircase between staff room 2 and
enhancement room to the walk way behind the mini caféteria to the gate
beside the music room on to the assembly area.
7. Persons in the enhancement room and the mini cafeteria will walk at the
walk way behind the mini cafeteria and enter the assembly area using the
big gate beside the music room.
8. Persons in the vice principals’ offices and staff room 2 will use the passage
onto the driveway and walk to the field through the gate beside the music
room.
9. Persons in the guidance counselors’ office and the lower school bathroom
will use the same route as those from the Vice Principals’ offices.
10.Persons in the Physics Lab, 5T, 5J, 5A, 5G, 5O, will use the staircase beside
the guidance counsellors’ offices (EXIT 3) and enter the assembly area using
the big gate beside the music room.
11.Persons in the principal's office, administrative office/area and bursary will
use the passage through the foyer and enter the field through the gate
beside the mango tree. This route is also applicable to visitors who may be
in that general area.
12.Staff room 1 will use the same route as 2J, through exit at 3T (EXIT 1) and
then enter the assembly area using the big gate at the mango tree.
13.Persons in the Chemistry lab, Biology lab, 5S, 4T, 4J, 4A, 4G,4O, 3G, 3O and
the stationary will use the exit directly facing the netball/basketball court
(EXIT 2) and then enter the assembly area using the gate at the mango tree.
14.3S, 3T, 3J, 3A, 2G and 2O will use the exit between form 3T and 3J (EXIT 1),
and enter the assembly area through the gate at the mango tree.
15.Persons in the hall will exit through the passage between 3O and 4T (EXIT 2)
and enter the field through the gate beside the mango tree.
16.Persons in the boys’ bathroom, cafeteria, nurse quarters, dance room,
drama room, TD room, Wood Wook room, girl’s bathroom, janitor’s
quarters/auxillary area and those in that general vicinity will walk in the
direction along the netball/basketball court and enter the assembly area
using the big gate at the mango tree.
17.Persons on the 6th form block, including staffroom 3 and those in that
vicinity will use the only available exit and enter the assembly area using
the gate beside the music room.
18.Persons in and around the pavillion will enter the field through either of the
two gates entering the field.
19.Persons who may be walking or outside of any of the classrooms or other
areas identified above will use the closest point of entry to the assembly
area.
At the Assembly Area
All students must stand in line at the designated spot for their form class (these
will be labelled). Form teachers should stand with their form class.
Senior teachers who are not block supervisors must stand in the area designated
for them. Ancillary staff, administrative staff must stand in the area designated for
them. All areas will be marked.
It is advisable that all students and members of staff familiarize themselves
(beforehand) where they should be. This will eliminate confusion in finding your
area.
Await instructions from the principal or her designee.
