Volunteers/Students

Intern Policy
The Center welcomes both student and volunteers into the
various program offered by the Early Childhood program.
Volunteers /students also play a vital party/ role in supporting
the CDW in the daily operation of the program.
WHEREAS……….
 The student volunteer are group should be at least 18 years
of age and above. They should never be allowed to be left
alone with the children.

 The CDW is responsible for the orientation and training of


the volunteer/student.

 Student / volunteer expressing a willingness to help must be


screened, interviewed and place within the center.
NON – DISCRIMINATION
POLICY

The CDC is operated on a non –


discriminatory basis and gives equal
treatment and access to services with
regard to gender, sex, color, religion,
ethnic group and disability.
CHILDREN WITH
SPECIAL NEEDS
The children with special needs may refer
to the proper institution like the
Stimulation and Therapeutic Activity
Center (STAC) for proper care and
guidance. If a child has an identified
disability or development delay, he
receives services specified in hid
Individualized Education Plan.
MALNOURISHED
CHILDREN POLICY

The malnourished children refer to the


BNS conducting feeding program from
the Barangay/Local government.

Malnourished children must be monitored


by the CDW/BNS for their weighing and
height national status.

Children are beneficiaries of


Supplementary Feeding Program.
CHILD PROTECTION
POLICY

Every reasonable precaution is taken to


protect children from harm and any
hazard likely to cause injury.

The Child Development Worker is


aware of their roles and responsibilities
to respond to every child at risk of
abuses or neglect.
PARENT’S CONFERENCE

A conference to discuss child’s progress


and development after accomplishing the
ECCD Checklist.

The CDW and the parent or guardian will


discuss growth and development of the
child so that can work together toward
meeting these goals.

All parents/guardian are required to attend


PARENT EFFECTIVENESS SERVICE
(PES)
MEDICINE POLICY

The CDC will need a medical release


form from the parent/guardian in order to
administer any medication. This applies to
non – prescription as well as prescription
medication. Please make sure medication
is brought in a labeled childproof
container.

The medical release form should be


obtained at the front desk and medication
should be left with Child Development
Worker.
HEALTH POLICY
Every child has an annual health record
and oral health record

Every child can avail free check up from


the Rural Health Unit with the proper
coordination of the Child Development
Worker.

Please notify the CDW early in the day if


your child is to be absent.

Your child should be brought to the health


center if she/he
- Has fever
- Has sign of a cold, cough, sore throat,
watery eyes, heavy nasal, discharge or
colored mucous.
- Has a persistent cough
- Has an eye infection
- Is vomiting or has diarrhea
CDW must follow up the child’s
medical condition and conduct visitation

CENTER STAFF POLICY

If the Child Development Worker and


the Parent Aide are ill, they must be
excused from work and from contact
with children.

The CDW must refer to the Rural


Health Unit for proper check – up and
medication.
CHILDREN’S FILES
POLICY

The use of disclosure of child’s record or


other information concerning children or
families will be limited to purposes
directly connected to the CDC program

No other use of this information may be


made without parent’s prior written
consent.

Legal parents/guardian shall have access


to all information contained in their own
child’s individual file.
FIELD TRIP POLICY
Parents shall inform of fieldtrips or other activities outside
the center. A parent consent form must be signed if a parent
does not submit a sign Consent form, the child will not be
allowed to join.
