Oddbod Bubbles Amigurumi

How to read the rounds:

 Each row has a sequence as given below. Example: sc, inc means repeat
that sequence sc, inc followed by sc, inc in next st over and over to the end of
that particular round. The number inside the parentheses (~) is the number
of stitches you should have at the end of that particular round.
 Add in a marker at the end of round 2 and move that marker at the end of every
row. Work in continuous
rounds, do not join.

Abbreviation

st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (two single crochet in one stitch)
dec = decrease (crochet two stitches together)
ch = chain
F/O = fasten off
ss = slip stitch

Materials

4mm crochet hook


Worsted weight yarn in yellow
Worsted weight yarn in beige
Yarn needle for sewing
Fiber fill
Scissors
Stitch marker
Black felt
White felt
Textile glue

Head & Body

Use the yellow yarn.


R1: 6sc in magic circle (6)
R2: inc in every st (12)
R3: sc, inc (18)
R4: 2sc, inc (24)
R5: 3sc, inc (30)
R6: 4sc, inc (36)
R7: 5sc, inc (42)
R8: 6sc, inc (48)
R9: 7sc, inc (54)
R10 – R32: sc around for 23 rounds (54)
R33: 7sc, dec (48)
R34: 6sc, dec (42)
R35: 5sc, dec (36)
R36: 4sc, dec (30)
R37: 3sc, dec (24)

Put stuffing in the body now


R38: 2sc, dec (18)
R39: sc, dec (12)
Put some more stuffing if needed.
R40: dec around
F/O and weave the tail to close the gap.
Bury the yarn tail in the body.

Legs

Use the yellow yarn.


R1: 6sc in magic circle (6)
R2: inc in every st (12)
R3: sc, inc (18)
R4: 2sc, inc (24)
R5 – R10: sc around for 6 rounds (24)
Ss and F/O
Stuff the legs with the fiber fill and sew them to the body.

Arms

Use beige yarn.


R1: 6sc in magic circle (6)
R2: inc in every st (12)
R3: sc, inc (18)
R4: 2sc, inc (24)
R5 – R6: sc around for 2 rounds (24)
R7: 2sc, dec (18)
R8 – R9: sc around for 2 rounds (18)
R10: sc, dec (12)
R11 – R20: sc around for 10 rounds (12)

Ss and F/O
Stuff the arms with the fiber fill and sew the to the body.

Face

Use the beige yarn.


R1: ch13 (13)
R2: sc across (10) ch1 and turn
Repeat this for 14 rows
Ss and F/O
Sew the face to the body.

Use the yellow yarn to make bridge around the face.


R1: ch46 (46)
R2: sc in every st (45)
F/O

Eyes

 Cut out 2 eyes and 2 pupils.


 Cut out a small mouth.
 Glue everything to the face. And to make it easier use some pins.

Horns

Small horns – make two


Start with yellow yarn.
R1: 6sc in magic circle (6)
R2: inc around (12)
R3: sc, inc (18)
R4: sc around (18)
Change to white yarn.
R5: sc, dec (12)
R6 – R8: sc around for 3 rounds (18)
Change to yellow yarn.
R9 – R12: sc around for 4 rounds (18)
Ss and F/O
Make two small horns. Stuff the small horns only in the top with the fiber fill and sew
them to the body.

Medium horns – make two


Start with yellow yarn.
R1: 6sc in magic circle (6)
R2: inc around (12)
R3: sc, inc (18)
R4: sc around (18)
Switch to white yarn.
R5: sc, dec (12)
R6 – R8 : sc around for 3 rounds (12)
Switch to yellow yarn.
R9 – R12 : sc around for 4 rounds (12)
Switch to white yarn
R13 – R16: sc around for 4 rounds (12)
Ss and F/O
Make two medium horns. Stuff the medium horns only the top with the fiber fill and
sew them to the body.

Big horn – make one


Start with yellow yarn.
R1: 6sc in magic circle (6)
R2: inc around (12)
R3: sc, inc (18)
R4: sc around (18)
Switch to white yarn.
R5: sc, dec (12)
R6 – R8 : sc around for 3 rounds (12)
Switch to yellow yarn
R9 – R12 : sc around for 4 rounds (12)
Switch to white yarn
R13 – R16: sc around for 4 rounds (12)
Switch to yellow yarn
R17 – R20: sc around for 4 rounds (12)
Ss and F/O
Stuff the big horn only on the top with the fiber fill and sew them to the body.
