Owlfelia the Owl

Crochet Pattern

Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Inc: Increase; 2 sc in one stitch

st: Stitch

Dec: Decrease; crochet two stitches into one

In color A/B, sc "x": in the signified color, sc once in each of


the next x stitches

Materials:
Premier Yarn Parfait Chunky, in colors
"Toffee," (Color X), "White." (Color Y), and
"Sunshine." One skein for each color.

4.25 mm crochet hook

Sewing needle

Polyester filling, 3 Oz

Safety eyes (optional)

Head + Body:
The head and the body are made by continuously
crocheting one peice. There is no sweing involved
In color x, (Toffee)
Sc 6 in a MR (6)
between the two.
Row 2: inc in each st (12)
row 3: (sc, inc) six times (18)
Row 4: (sc 2, inc) six times (24)

Row 5: puff stitch in the first stitch. Sc in the next 2 sts, and inc
in the next stitch. (Sc 3, inc) twice. Puff st in the next st, and sc
in the next 2 sts, and then inc. Then, (Sc 3, inc) twice (30)

Row 6: sc in each st (30)

Row 7: in color x, sc in the next 5 sts. In color y, sc in the next


3 sts. In color x, sc in the next 2 sts. in color y, sc in the next
three sts. in color x, sc to the end of the row (30)

Row 8: in color x, sc in the next 4 sts. In color y, sc in the next


11 sts. In color x, sc to the end of the row (30)

Row 9: in color x, sc 4. In color y, sc 12. In color x, sc to the end


of the row (30)

Row 10: in color x, sc 4. In color y, sc 12. In color x, sc to the


end of the row (30)

Row 11: in color x, dec, sc, and dec again. in color y, (sc, dec)
three times, and sc once more. In color x, (dec, sc) five more

Row 13: IMPORTANT - This entire row is done in FLO: in color

Fasten off, and stuff the body. Then, sew the body closed.

Legs:
Make two. They will be sewn to the body later.

In color "Sunshine", Sc 6 in a MR (6)


Row 1: (sc, puff st) three times (6)
fasten off, and leave a long tail for sewing.

Wings:
Make two. We will sew this onto the body later.
In color x, Sc 6 In a MR (6)
Row 1: inc in each st (12)
Row 2: (inc, sc) around (18)
Row 3: (inc, sc 2) around (24)
Row 4: sc in each st (24)

Then, fold the circle in half , making sure that all the stitches align.
Now, sc the first two sts together, and sc the next two sts together:

Continue this with the rest of the sts, until you have a closed semi circle. At the last st, change
colors from x to y. You should now have 12 sts total. (12)
now, with color y, chain 1. Sc in the next st. (Puff st, sc 2) three times. Puff stitch, and sc in the
last st. Fasten off, and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:
Start to assemble the Owl as shown:

Place wings on the side of the Place legs down, and sew them as
body, and sew them down. well.

Whip stitch the beak with


yellow yarn

Add eyes. Safety eyes, or


embroidering the eyes is
good!

Then, sew the fur on the


Owl as shown:
