Plush Cow Pattern
In
this pattern I used:

  •   Premier Parfait Chunky Yarn in the color: 1150-35 Chocolate
  •   Premier Parfait Chunky Yarn in the color: 1150-36 Teddy Bear
  •   Premier Parfait Chunky Yarn in the color: 1150-16 Toffee
  •   Premier Parfait Chunky Yarn in the color: 1150-01 White
  •   Premier Basix Worsted yarn in the color: 1115-04 Black
  •   Bent Tip Steel Yarn Needle
  •   Scissors
  •   Stitch Marker
  •   Poly-fil Fiber for stuffing
  •   5mm crochet hook
  •   Plastic safety eyes
Abbreviations:
  SC: single crochet
  DC: double crochet
  SLST: slip stitch
  CH: chain
  BLO: back loop only
  INC: increase
  DEC: decrease
  ST: stitch
  Legs (Make 2):
  Start with Chocolate
  Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
  you would like) (6)
  Round 2: inc in each st *6 (12)
  Round 3: sc, inc *6 (18)
Round 4: BLO sc in each st (18)
Round 5: sc in each st (18)
Switch to White
Round 6-11: sc in each st (18 *6 rounds)
Fasten off the first leg but do not fasten off the second one because you will
continue working from this leg.
Round 12: ch 3, sc in the 18 st of the first leg, sc in the 3 ch, 18 sc in the second
leg, sc in the 3 ch (42)
Round 13: sc in each st (42)
Round 14: 6 sc, inc *6 (48)
Round 15-17: sc in each st (48 *3 rounds)
Round 18: 6 sc, dec *6 (42)
Round 19-21: – sc in each st (42 *3 rounds)
Round 22: 5 sc, dec *6 (36)
Round 23-25: sc in each st (36 *3 rounds)
Round 26: 4 sc, dec *6 (30)
Round 27-28: sc in each st (30 *2 rounds)
Round 29: 3 sc, dec *6 (24)
Round 30: 2 sc, dec *6 (18)
Round 31: sc, dec *6 (12)
Stuff the body before continuing. You will begin to make the head next.
Round 32: inc in each st (24)
Round 33: 3 sc, inc *6 (30)
Round 34: 4 sc, inc *6 (36)
Round 35: 5 sc, inc *6 (42)
Round 36: 6 sc, inc *6 (48)
Round 37: sc in each st (48)
Round 38: 7 sc, inc *6 (54)
Round 39-42: sc in each st (54 *4 rounds)
Round 43: 7 sc, dec *6 (48)
Round 44: sc in each st (48)
Round 45: 6 sc, dec *6 (42)
Round 46: 5 sc, dec *6 (36)
Round 47: 4 sc, dec *6 (30)
Round 48: 3 sc, dec *6 (24)
Insert safety eyes between round 42 and 43 with 8 stitches in between.
Start stuffing the head
Round 49: 2 sc, dec *6 (18)
Round 50: sc, dec *6 (12)
Round 51: dec *6 (6)
Fasten off leaving a long enough tail to sew the top of the head shut.
Weave in the tail.
Arms (Make 2):
Using Chocolate
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
you would like) (6)
Round 2: inc in each st *6 (12)
Round 3-4: sc in each st (12 *2 rounds)
Switch to White
Round 5-13: sc in each st (12 *9 rounds)
Lightly stuff the arms. Fold in half and sc through both sides. Fasten off and
leave a long tail for sewing.
Ears (Make 2):
Using White
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
you would like) (6)
Round 2: sc, inc *3 (9)
Round 3: 2 sc, inc *3 (12)
Round 4: 3 sc, inc *3 (15)
Round 5-8: sc in each st (15 *4 rounds)
Round 9: 3 sc, dec *3 (12)
Round 10: dec *6 (6)
Fold in half and sc through both sides. Fasten off and leave a long tail for
sewing.
Horns (Make 2):
Using Toffee
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
you would like) (6)
Round 2-5: sc in each st (6 *4 rounds)
Lightly stuff the horn. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Muzzle:
Using Teddy Bear
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
you would like) (6)
Round 2: inc in each st *6 (12)
Round 3: sc, inc *6 (18)
Round 4-6: sc in each st (18 *3 rounds)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. With a small piece of black yarn make
a ‘v’ for the nostrils on round 3 with 2 st in between
Medium Spot (Make 2):
Using Chocolate
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
you would like) (6)
Round 2: inc in each st *6 (12)
Round 3: sc, inc *6 (18)
Round 4: 2 sc, inc *6 (24)
Round 5: 2 sc, dc inc in the next 2 st *6 (36)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Small Spot:
Using Chocolate
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring (you can also ch 2 and 6 sc into the first ch if
you would like) (6)
Round 2: inc in each st *6 (12)
Round 3: sc, inc *6 (18)
Round 4: 2 sc, dc inc in the next 2 st *4, sc in the last 2 st (26)
   Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing
Assembly:
  • Sew the ears onto the head 3 to 4 rows down from the top on each side
  • Sew the horns evenly placed between the ears
  • Sew the arms onto the body centered with the head 2 rows down from the
     head
   • Sew the spots wherever you would like them to be.
     Sew the muzzle centered between the eyes, stuffing as you go.
