Examination Scheme
1.1: MODE OF EXAMINATION
NFAT 2025 will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode only.
1.2: MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPERS
The medium of Question Paper for NFAT 2025 will be English.
1.3: STRUCTURE OF QUESTION PAPERS
Programme wise Question Paper Structure is given in the Programme Details
available in the Admission Section of the University Website.
1.4: MARKING SCHEME
I. Each question carries 01 (One) marks
II. For each correct response, candidate will get 01 (One) marks.
III. For each incorrect response, 0.25 (one fourth) mark will be deducted from
the total score.
IV. Un-answered/un-attempted response will be given no marks.
V. To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct
option.

2. EXAMINATION CENTER CITIES
The Cities where the NFAT – 2025 will be conducted are given below. While
applying, candidates selected three cities of their choice in preferential order.
2.1: List of the EXAMINATION CENTER CITIES

Note: Exam Centres are tentative, and University reserves a right to change /
modify / update the center at any point of time.
Efforts will be undertaken to allocate examination cities to candidates based on
their preferences indicated in the online Application Form. However, due to
administrative or logistical constraints, a different city may be assigned.
In cases where the number of candidates from a particular city is insufficient, the
National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) reserves the right to merge cities
for examination purposes. The decision of the NFSU regarding the allotment of
examination cities or centres shall be deemed final and binding. No further
correspondence or requests concerning city allotment will be entertained.
The allocation of test centres will primarily be made in one of the preferred cities
indicated by the candidates, and the process will be executed without any human
intervention.

3. ADMIT CARD
3.1: Admit Card
The Admit Card will be issued provisionally to candidates through the NFSU
website: https://nfsu.ac.in/admission, subject to the fulfilment of eligibility
criteria and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NFSU.
Candidates must download the Admit Card from the NFSU website and appear for
the examination at the designated Centre, date, and shift/timing as specified on
their Admit Card. No separate communication regarding the release of the Admit
Card will be sent via email or other means.
Candidates will not be permitted to appear at any examination Centre, on any
date or shift/time, other than that allocated to them as per their Admit Card. No
re-examination will be conducted under any circumstances.
Candidates are strongly advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card
carefully and adhere strictly to them during the examination.
The schedule for downloading the Admit Card will be announced on the NFSU
website: https://nfsu.ac.in/admission.
Note:
a. Admit Cards will not be sent by post or email.
b. Duplicate Admit Cards for NFAT - 2025 will not be issued at the Examination
Centres under any circumstances.
c. Candidates must not mutilate the Admit Card or alter any information printed
on it.
d. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition for
future reference.
e. No Admit Card will be issued to candidates whose applications are found to be
incomplete for any reason (including unclear/doubtful photographs or
unsigned applications) or who do not meet the eligibility criteria.
f. The issuance of Admit Cards does not imply acceptance of eligibility, which will
be further verified at subsequent stages of the admission process.
g. If a candidate's name has been changed due to events such as marriage, they
must present the relevant document (such as a Marriage Certificate,
Divorce Decree, or Legal Name Change Document) at the time of the
examination.

4. Instructions for Candidates Appearing for the NFAT – 2025
4.1: Instructions:
1. Reporting at the Test Centre
Candidates are advised to report to the Test Centre well in advance, as per
the instructions mentioned in the Admit Card. Candidates arriving after the
gate closing time will not be permitted to enter the Test Centre.
2. Seating in the Test Hall
Candidates should take their seats immediately upon the opening of the Test
Hall. Late arrival due to reasons such as traffic congestion, train or bus delays
may result in candidates missing important instructions announced in the Test
Rooms/Halls. NFSU shall not be responsible for any such delays.
3. Verification of Admit Card
Candidates must present the Admit Card, downloaded and printed from the
NFSU website, upon request for admission into the Test Room/Hall. The Test
Centre staff is authorized to verify the identity of candidates and may take
necessary steps to authenticate their credentials. Candidates are required to
extend full cooperation.
Candidates without a valid Admit Card and an authorized Photo ID
will not be permitted to take the test under any circumstances.
4. Allotment of Seats
Each candidate will be assigned a seat with an indicated Roll Number.
Candidates must locate and occupy only their designated seats. Unauthorized
changes of seats may result in the cancellation of candidature without any
appeal.
5. Verification of Question Paper
Candidates must ensure that the Question Paper displayed on the computer
corresponds to their chosen Programme as indicated on the Admit Card. Any
discrepancies should be immediately reported to the Invigilator.
6. Multiple Appearances
Candidates found furnishing false information to appear in more than one
shift/date will have their candidature cancelled, and their results will not be
declared.
7. Absence on the Scheduled Date
No re-examination will be conducted for candidates unable to appear on the
scheduled test date for any reason.

8. Prohibited Materials
Candidates must not possess any material deemed prohibited during the
examination.
9. Baggage Restrictions
Baggage is not allowed inside the Test Centre. NFSU shall not be
responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.
10. Late Entry Policy
Late entry to the Test Centre is strictly prohibited. Candidates are advised
to familiarize themselves with the location of the Test Centre and plan their
travel time accordingly. NFSU shall not be responsible for any delays.
11. Biometric Verification
Biometric information of all candidates will be captured. Identity checks will
be conducted to prevent unauthorized candidates from appearing for the test.
Candidates are expected to cooperate with security personnel during security
checks and frisking.
12. Attendance Sheet Requirements
Candidates must sign on the Attendance Sheet at the designated place.
13. Exit from Test Room/Hall
No candidate shall leave their seat or the Test Room/Hall before the test
duration concludes without special permission from the Centre
Superintendent or the Invigilator. Compliance with all instructions from the
Centre Superintendent/Invigilators is mandatory.
14. Entry Restrictions for Accompanying Persons
Only registered candidates are allowed inside the Test Centre premises.
Friends or relatives accompanying candidates will not be permitted entry
under any circumstances.
15. Rough Work Procedures
Each candidate will be provided with a sheet of paper for rough work.
Candidates must write their Roll Number and Name on the Rough Sheets
and submit them in the designated drop box after the test. Rough work is
not permitted on any other material.
16. Conduct and Disciplinary Measures
Candidates must adhere to the Rules and Regulations of NFSU regarding
conduct in the Test Hall. Any cases of unfair means will be dealt with as per
NFSU’s regulations.

17. Submission of False Information
Applications containing false or fabricated information will be rejected,
and such candidates will be debarred from future NFSU examinations.
18. Revocation of Permission
NFSU reserves the right to withdraw permission inadvertently granted to
any candidate found ineligible for NFAT – 2025, even if an Admit Card was
issued.
Important Note:
Candidates must appear at their own cost at the Test Centre on the
Date, Subject, and Timing as indicated in the Admit Card.
Under no circumstances will requests for changes in the choice of cities
for the Centre or test timing, as provided in the Admit Card, be entertained.
4.2: Documents Required on the Day of the Test:
Candidates must bring the following documents to the Test Centre. Failure to
do so will result in disqualification from appearing in the test:
a. Print copy of the Admit Card downloaded from the NFSU website, duly filled
in, on A4 size paper.
b. Two passport-size photograph (same as the one uploaded on the Online
Application Form) to be affixed in the designated space on the Admit Card.
c. Any one of the following original, valid, and non-expired Photo IDs:
PAN Card
Driving License
Voter ID
Passport
Aadhaar Card (with photograph)
Ration Card (with photograph)
d. PwBD Certificate issued by an authorized medical officer, if applicable, or a
PwBD Certificate as per Annexures given in the Information Bulletin, if claiming
relaxation under the PwBD category.
e. A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
4.3: Rough Work:
All calculations or writing work must be done only on the Rough Sheets
provided at the Test Centre.

After completion of the test, candidates must hand over the Rough Sheets
to the Invigilator on duty.
No other paper or sheet is allowed inside the Test Room/Hall for rough
work.
4.4: UNFAIR MEANS PRACTICES AND VIOLATION OF EXAMINATION
RULES
DEFINITION OF UNFAIR MEANS PRACTICES
Unfair Means Practices refer to any actions that provide a candidate with an
unjust advantage over others. Such practices include, but are not limited to,
the following:
a) Possession of Prohibited Items:
Being in possession of any item or article that is prohibited or can be used for
unfair practices, including stationery items, communication devices, accessories,
eatables, ornaments, or any other material, whether relevant or irrelevant to
the examination.
b) Impersonation:
Engaging or attempting to engage another person to write the examination on
one’s behalf or preparing material for copying.
c) Violation of Examination Rules:
Breaching any examination rules or instructions issued by NFSU in connection
with the NFAT-2025 examination.
d) Assisting in Malpractices:
Assisting or attempting to assist other candidates in malpractices, or giving
or receiving assistance of any kind, directly or indirectly.
e) Unauthorized Communication:
Contacting or attempting to contact any person other than the Examination
Staff during the examination.
f) Threatening Examination Officials:
Threatening or attempting to threaten any officials involved in the conduct
of the examination or other candidates.

g) Use of Undesirable Methods:
Employing or attempting to employ any undesirable methods or means in
connection with the examination.
h) Document Manipulation:
Manipulation or fabrication of online documents such as the Admit Card,
Rank Letter, Self-Declaration, etc.
i) Unauthorized Entry or Exit:
Forcefully entering or exiting the Examination Centre or Hall.
j) Use of Electronic Devices:
Using or attempting to use any electronic device after entering the
Examination Centre.
k) Misrepresentation in Documents:
Affixing or uploading incorrect or morphed photographs/signatures on
the Application Form, Admit Card, or Proforma.
l) Obstructing Examination Conduct:
Creating obstacles in the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
m) Other Malpractices:
Engaging in any other malpractice declared as Unfair Means by NFSU.
n) False Declarations:
Falsely declaring one’s category to avail benefits such as reservation,
compensatory time, or fee relaxation.
4.5: PENALTIES FOR UNFAIR MEANS PRACTICES
If a candidate is found guilty of engaging in any of the aforementioned or similar
practices before, during, or after the examination, they shall be deemed to
have used Unfair Means (U.F.M.) and will be subject to the following penalties:
1. Debarment:
The candidate may be debarred for 3 years from appearing in future
examinations conducted by NFSU.
2. Legal Action:
The candidate may be subjected to criminal prosecution and/or any other
actions as deemed appropriate by NFSU.

4.6: CANCELLATION OF RESULTS
The results of candidates found guilty of using Unfair Means Practices
during the NFAT-2025 examination shall be cancelled and not declared.
Additionally, the results of candidates who:
o Appear from a Centre other than the one allotted to them.
o Allow another person to appear for the examination on their behalf.
In such cases, no appeals or pleas for reconsideration will be entertained.

5. DISPLAY OF ANSWER KEY FOR CHALLENGE
5.1: Instructions
1. The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) will publish the
Provisional Answer Key for the examination questions on its official
website: https://nfsu.ac.in/admission. A Public Notice to this effect will
also be issued on the same website. This will provide an opportunity for
candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys by making a non-
refundable online payment of ₹200/- plus applicable taxes per
question challenged as processing charges. The Provisional Answer Keys
are expected to be displayed for a period of two to three days.
2. Only paid challenges submitted within the stipulated time frame
through the official key challenge link will be considered. Challenges
submitted without proper justification/evidence or those filed through
any medium other than the prescribed link will not be entertained.
3. The decision of NFSU regarding the challenges shall be final, and no
further communication will be entertained in this regard. NFSU will not
inform candidates individually about the outcome of the challenges.
4. The subject experts will thoroughly examine all the challenges
received, following which a Final Answer Key will be published.
5. The result will be compiled based on the Final Answer Key. No
grievances concerning the answer key(s) will be entertained after the
declaration of the NFAT-2025 result.
5.2: DISPLAY OF RECORDED RESPONSES
The NFSU will publish the recorded responses of candidates along with the
Question Paper attempted on the NFSU website: https://nfsu.ac.in/admission,
prior to the declaration of the result/NFAT Score. The recorded responses
are likely to be available for a period of two to three days.

6. NFAT 2025 SCORE FOR ADMISSIONS
6.1: NFAT 2025 SCORE
The NFAT - 2025 would be valid for admission to the Academic Year 2025-26 only.
Evaluation of multiple-choice questions of all the Test Papers will be carried out
using final answerkeys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will
be considered further for computation of the result of NFAT- 2025.
6.2: RE-EVALUATION / RE-CHECKING OF RESULT
The result for NFAT - 2025 will be processed based on Final Answer Keys verified
by the experts after the challenges. No grievance with regard to Final Answer
Key(s) after Declaration of Result of NFAT - 2025 will be entertained.
There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the result. No correspondence
in this regard shall be entertained.
No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised
to download their Score Cards for NFAT - 2025 from the website:
https://nfsu.ac.in/admission
Note:
Merely appearing in NFAT - 2025 does not confer any right to the candidate for
admission to the NFSU.
The selection and admission would be subject to fulfilling the admission criteria,
eligibility, rank in merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents and
such other criteria as may be prescribed by the NFSU, the candidate is applying
for it.
Admissions are handled at the level of the Schools for their respective programs.
After the declaration of the NFAT - 2025 result, the respective Schools will declare
the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the NFAT - 2025 score
and the other criteria of the NFSU.

7. MISCELLANEOUS
7.1: LEGAL JURISDICTION
All disputes pertaining to the conduct of NFAT - 2025 Examination including
Results shall fall within the jurisdiction of Gandhinagar, Gujarat only.
