In these recreational and leisure activities, I appreciate it because this subject has
become my escape from the hectic schedule in classes. It makes me feel like I’m on a
roller coaster ride where I may become excited, sad, appreciated, happy, and feel more
than one set of emotions. This would be my exhibition hall, where I can freely show my
talents, skills, and even not-so-good skills, but still tell a meaningful story where
negativity turns into positive scenery, such as a sun rising after the cold evening of
tiredness that I feel in my everyday life.
While doing those activities, I learned a lot about the games that I had just seen.
The joy of seeing different types of board games is exciting to know how to play them,
especially Sungka, where you need to be fast on your moves. Sometimes I laugh at
myself because I was slow and the other Peebles fell; it’s like I am too young for this
game because of my innocence. In this activity, I can see the joy in my classmate’s
eyes as we share happiness. They show competitiveness but also support and patience
in their guidance. That’s really meant for me.
In regards to the painting activity, we were able to show our emotions and our
desires. I get to know my classmates better through the way they draw and how they do
it—in every color used and in every meaning of what they paint. You can see the
different types of paintings and how beautiful they are; some of them have deep
meanings to the painter. When I went in front of my classmate, I said I wouldn’t dare to
cry, but I became emotional while sharing my work of art that symbolized where I got
my strength while having the heaviest problem that I encountered. The tap in my back
from Ma’am Decano is appreciated because it is really meaningful to me and I feel that I
ain’t alone. Here, they show us and make us hear themselves as they are. Each one of
us will see the difference in our paintings. In this activity, I learned that I am not the only
one; others find it difficult to share their problems because they are afraid that they
might not understand.
The third activity, making arts and crafts, served as a guide to show the unity of a
group and show their creative side. While doing this, we see in each group the
determination to do well and finish it. I’m glad we made a good work because our skills
joined together reason to have an amazing result which no can manipulate how we
build our team’s unity to set above our wonderful idea. It was a ride full of tension, but
don’t let that black air cover our strength. We, the Team Marasapa, will always fight for
a friendly battle of creativity and teamwork with humanity.
In the final activity, which is mobile applications and mobile games, it is fun to
discover something new that someone wants to try to find out how and what this game
or application can do. The presence of interest and curiosity can be seen. This would be
beneficial for our generation as well as the next generation, which will be users of
improved mobile applications and mobile games.
From the start to finish, I saw every change in each group and the whole class.
Through actions, sharing, and showing emotions, they get to know themselves better
and their abilities to do better. Everyone will also see that the whole class has become
more solid than before. The friendship in a class became stronger than its weak and
breakable past. This is my reflection, where genuine thoughts are written in the rides of
recreational and leisure activities.
