In attention of BÜCHI Labortechnik HR department and Service Management
My name is Vlad-Alexandru Sandu, I graduated Medical Engineering in 2017, at Faculty of Medical
Engineering, “ Politehnica “ University in Bucharest. During the four years I have studied Medical
Engineering, I have specialized in Medical Systems and Equipment, but I have also worked with laboratory
equipment in my biomaterials classes. Among the laboratory techniques we have studied, Chromatography,
NIR Spectroscopy and determination of the melting point are some of the most used techniques I am familiar
with. I am convinced that this basic knowledge is a good start for me as a candidate to match your company’s
profile.
I had many internships during the past two years which gave me a first look on medical engineering.
My first internship programme was for MG Medical Ecoline, where I learned the basics about RX, CT-scan,
PET-scan, and MRI-imaging. My second internship was for General Electric, where I was taught about
Logistics and Spare Parts Management, mandatory for the workflow of a field engineer. My third internship
programme was for SofMedica SRL, where I was involved in many activities, such as warehouse management
in stocks and spare parts, troubleshooting on dialysis and endoscopic devices, attending workshops with
DaVinci XI surgical robot, field engineering experience at hospitals and clinics. I achieved important skills in
most of the firm's departments: Tech Support, Sales, Logistics, Acquisition and Compliance.
After graduating , I was hired as a full-time Technical Service Engineer by BBRAUN Medical
Romania, Aesculap Surgery Division. I was responsible for coordinating the service activity of the division for
the entire country. For almost a year I have achieved several skills which are essential for an engineer:
Identifying problems through hardware diagnosis and electronic troubleshooting of the medical
devices;
Knowledge about electric safety and standards of equipment;
Knowledge and standards about disinfection and sterilization in hospitals;
Communication and negotiation skills; experience in solving problems;
Assurance for installation, commissioning and training for medical staff;
Reviewing, reporting, research and documentation for service activity.
My future vision for myself is that I will develop further skills in engineering. I am looking forward to
learning more, since it is my belief that a person should achieve more through a continuous process of
learning. It is my opinion that your company’s environment could provide me continuous self-improvement
and development and I think that working abroad could represent a step forward in both my career and
personal life.
I am looking forward to hearing from your side.
