1.SYNOPSIS

Our project, an online job portal, aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and
employers through a user-friendly digital platform. It allows job seeker to search
and apply for job openings, and enables employers to post job openings and
search resumes. The objective of the Online Job Portal is to develop a system
using which job applicants and recruiters can communicate with each other. The
purpose is to enables applicant to search for jobs in a convenient manner and to
enable employers to find suitable candidates.
2. INTRODUCTION

Our project is an innovative online job portal designed to bridge the gap between
job seekers and employers. Our platform aims to provide a seamless, efficient,
and user-friendly interface for recruitments processes, revolutionizing the way
people find jobs and companies hire talent.

In developing the Online Job Portal, the first step was gathering all necessary
information regarding the project requirements. After analysing and removing
any inconsistencies or ambiguities in the specifications, the team organized the
requirements in the form of a Software Requirements Specification (SRS)
document. This document served as the foundation for the software development
process. The SRS outlined the core features of the portal, such as user
registration, job listings, application management, and employer portals. The
software development team relied on the SRS to ensure that the system was built
according to the exact needs of job seekers and employers
3. SYSTEM ANALYSIS

System analysis is the process of collecting and interpreting facts, identifying the
problems and decomposition of a system into its components. It ensures that all
the components of the system work efficiently to accomplish their purpose.

3.1 EXISTING SYSTEM

The existing system for job searching and applying is a traditional offline
approach that has been in place for many years. Job seekers search for job
openings through various sources such as newspaper, job fairs, and personal
networks. They then submit their resumes and applications in person or by mail
to employers. Employers review them manually, selecting candidates to move to
interview stage. This system provides a straightforward way for job seekers and
employers to connect, allowing employers to find qualified candidates and job
seekers to find employment opportunities. While it has been effective in the past,
the rise of technology led to developing more efficient and effective online
solutions.

 Low number of application due to poor reach

 High costs of printing and distribution

 Difficulty in tracking and managing applications

3.2 PROPOSED SYSTEM

The proposed system, an innovative online job portal, aims to bridge the gap
between jobseeker and employers through a seamless and efficient platform. The
user-friendly system enables jobseeker to create profiles, upload resumes, and
apply to relevant jobs opening with ease. Employers can post job openings,
screen candidates, and manage application efficiently.

MODULE DESCRIPTION

A module is a small, self-contained part which is the building block in software


development that does a specific job. They help in organizing complex programs
by breaking them down into smaller parts.

The system has 3 modules.

Admin

Jobseeker

Company

1. Admin

The admin can view total number of companies and jobseeker registered with the
system and also view job posted by companies. He will be able to search, view
and delete registered users from the system.

2. Jobseeker

The jobseeker can create profile, search jobs based on job title, skills, location
and company. He can filter jobs based on location, job type, salary range and
skillset. he can view job details and apply for them by uploading resume.

3. Company

The company can create profile, post jobs, search candidates, view applications
and interact with candidates.

3.3 FEASIBILITY STUDY

Feasibility study assesses the practicability, viability and success of proposed


system, thereby helping stakeholders to make decisions before investing time and
resources.
NEED FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY

The feasibility study is need to

 Answer the question whether n new system is to be installed or not?

 Determine the potential of the existing system.

 Improve the existing system.

 Know what should be embedded in the new system.

 Define the problems and objective involved in a system.

 Avoid costly repairs at later stage when the system is implemented.

 Avoid crash implemented of a new system.

3.3.1 ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY

Economic feasibility determines whether anticipated benefits outweigh incurred


cost. The study involves budgeting, cost analysis and foresight into potential
unforeseen expenses.

Our online job portal is economically very feasible as it offers a cost-effective


platform for job seekers and employers to connect with low operational cost and
high scalability, providing significant return on investment.

3.3.2 SOCIAL FEASIBILITY

Social feasibility assesses the potential social impacts, benefits and risks of the
project and evaluating whether it aligns with values, beliefs and needs of
stakeholders.

Our online job portal is socially feasible as it aligns with stakeholders' values and
needs, providing a user-friendly platform for job seekers to access opportunities,
employers to find skilled candidates and promoting economic growth, social
inclusion, and community development with minimal social risk.

3.3.3 TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY


Technical feasibility assesses if a project has the necessary technological
resources for its success.

The online job portal using PHP, JS, and MySQL is technically feasible. PHP
handles server side tasks, JS enables dynamic client-side functionality, and
MySQL manages data. Their integration ensures scalability, performance, and
security, making it possible to build a robust and efficient portal.
