Machine Breakdown for More than 2 hrs:

1. TG 2 got down on for 3 days to attend leakage in steam line. For which machine needed
to cool down which takes approx. 48 hrs . Later, Flood test done to identify the leakage point
which found in turbine HP casing drain. Attending the leakage was essential as it may cause fire
incident if carried over to oil line.
2. STG 4 was down from 23 April 2025 to 23 May 2025 for overhauling of turbine and generator. Its
overhauling was pending as machine was running since 2019. There were major issues like
vacuum which was causing reduced generation (18 MW) at full steam load.
3. Turbo-Blower 11 got under emergency repair due to failure of lubrication oil in turbine bearing
which cause heavy damage in turbine rotor and its thrust bearing. Both turbine and blower
overhauling was done in Feb – march 2025.

Upcoming Capital repairs/Shutdown for 2025-26:

1. Turbo-generator 1 revamping to be completed in August 2025 so that it could run with full
capacity of 12 MW with lower steam consumption.
2. Short term shutdown of STG – 4 for improving vacuum of turbine so that full generation of
turbo-generator can be achieved.
3. STB – 1, 2 & 3 Capital Repair to be carried out in co-ordination with BF 8 shutdown. Machines
overhauling was not carried out since its commissioning.
4. BPTG overhauling to be carried out in December 2025 as soon as we receive the recommended
spares for overhauling.
5. Overhauling of TB 9 so that it could run at higher rpm and air pr. To cater furnace 4 & 6 with
higher volume of cold blast and pressure.
