1. Brief instruction

1.1. Production instruction

XC2005 position controller is the updated version of XC2001. In order to obey the
habits and compatibility of user, the physical/installation dimension is the same as
XC2001, and we retain all functions and input/output terminals. But we add servo
motor terminal, the second color mark sensor terminal and other terminals to make it
more powerful.

Because of using independent digital impulse module, the impulse frequency’s


accurate enhanced, which make the feeding motor run more smoothly and faster.
XC2005A/S support double stepping/servo motors machine, B/D support single motor.
And also can use double color mark sensors or floating roller to control.

Inside the XC2005, we integrated 9 basic kind of machine selection and 4 machine
mode selections, which can combine to much more kind of functions.

2.1.1. Power on/ running status display

Regardless of whether the main motor is running or not , it is called ‘running status', to
distinguish from ‘setup status'. Under ‘running status’, the panel display as ‘figure 1&2’,
indicator light and screen display the working status and progress of the system.

The meaning of all the indicator light is shown below:

运转/RUN: Main motor run/stop.

脱袋/PULL: Synchronized with bag release signal, indicate bag release signal when
current bag reach the number of one batch .

色选/MARK: Light on --- color on, make color bags. Light off--- color off, make white
bags. When the main motor stops, it is permitted to modify by pressing the “MARK”
key on the panel. Blink: The self-test function is turned on, Press the “Check” key
to turn on/off self-test function.

脉冲/CP: Displacement pulse CP1/CP2 indicator,indicate the axis motor click steps
or sending material 。
GK1 :GK1 Hall sensor input indicator. Light on - magnet steel position (the A/C
position), light off - the blank position (the B/D position)。
GK2 :GK2 Hall sensor input indicator. Light on - magnet steel position (the E position),
light off - the blank position (the F position).
GK3: Input indicator of the first color mark sensor (hereinafter named “color 1
photoelectric” for short). After turning on the self-test function, press “Polarity A” key
to modify the input polarity. Bright--- bright move. Extinguish--- dark move.
GK4: Input indicator of the second color mark sensor(hereinafter named“color 2
photoelectric”for short). After turning on the self-test function, press “Polarity B” key

to modify the input polarity. Bright--- bright move. Extinguish---dark move.


A/B: A/B channel select. Dark ---A channel valid. Bright--- B channel valid. Valid
on hot cutting machine mode.
Screen display:

<计数/Number>: Current bag number, Number = material sending times ÷ times


send constant (P07) .

<批数/Batch>: Current batch number. When the Number reaches P02 (number of
bags per batch), reset Number to 0, and then Batch+1 .

<长度/Length>: Bag length, material sending length = bag length ÷P07(times send
constant).

<速度/Speed>: Material sending time per minute, equals to the main machine acting
time per minute.

2.2.1. Operation of INCH keys

The functions of INCH keys vary corresponding to different machine types.

Color mark searching: When make color bags, after clicking the INCH key, the
feeding motor starts searching color mark, until a color mark is found or the INCH key
is clicked again to stop searching.

Length measuring: Set the color mark valid (make color bags, ‘MARK’ light is on),
and turn on the self-test function(click CHECK button). Press INCH key to search
color mark for twice times, then the bag-making length is obtained.

2.2.2. Operation of POLE keys

Modify the polarity: First press the MARK key , then press the CHECK key, after
that, you can press [POLE A] /[POLE B] to modify . You can set the motor move when
detected bright color, or move when detected dark color. Press the CHECK key again
to quit the self-detect status .

3.1. Parameters display

Panel in setting state is as Figure 2. Indicator ‘GK5’ shows unlock/lock status. When
locking, only the six parameters ahead (P00~P05) can be modified. The original
value of password is not displayed.

3.2. Parameter setting

Parameters defined in Table 2. P00 ~ P16 are setting parameters. C00 ~ C13 are
system constants, don’t need or rarely need to modify. P06 ~ P16, C00 ~ C13 are
protected by password.

3.2.1. Password (P05)

Not unlock the password only allows you to modify the parameters P00 ~ P05. If the
password changed to'1111 '(default setting), the system will always be unlock; C00 ~
C13 constants for the system in the state by holding down the unlock button 3 seconds
or more parameters can be entered directly. Password will remain open to shutdown
or reset, and any changes to the password that the effective and saved as a new
password, if the password is lost, please call the Company.

3.2.2. Length (P00/P01) / count (P02/P13) / sending multiple (P07)

To three edge sealing machine, the sending multiple may be great than 1. The
system will calculate material-pulling length automatically. The relationship is as
follows:
Material feeding length = Bag making length÷Sending multiple
Count number = Material feeding times÷Sending multiple

To other machine types, is the hot ironing multiple (sending material 1 time after the
knife cutting how many times).

For double shaft driving machine, there are 2 bag-making lengths, P01 and P00. Bag-
making length can either be set manually or measured by searching color mark. The
way is: set color mark in effect and turn on self-test function, press [INCH A] (or
[INCH B]) to search color mark twice continuously, P00 (or P01) will be measured out.

3.2.3. Color mark tracking (P03)/ color mark compensation (C04)

When P03(Follow)= 0, the system will search color mark unrestricted until the
overspeed position. Otherwise the system will search color mark in the setting range,
treating out of the range as a failure. If 3 continuous failures are accumulated, stop
the machine. When the color mark compensation (C04)is default value ,the
compensation value will be set automatically , normally is the twice of P03
value .Specially when the P03=0 , the C04 will be 99 . The two parameters have
the following relationship :

3.2.4 Peak frequency(P04)/Initial frequency (P08)/Click step frequency (P09)

The frequency of axis motor when starting / ending is called initial frequency (P08).
The lower the initial frequency is, the smaller the initial acceleration will be. By
choosing a low initial frequency (≤500Hz) , you could obtain a gentle ‘S’ accelerate
curve.

When the length is long enough , the maximum frequency the axis motor can reach is
called the Peak frequency (P04), Otherwise the axis motor will stop speeding up
before reaching the midpoint. The higher the Peak. frequency is, the larger the
acceleration will be. Therefore the back section of acceleration curve is mainly
determined by the Peak frequency.

When search color mark / withdraw material / click step move, use the click step
frequency (P09).

3.2.4.1 Status 1 / Status 2 key ‘9’

Under double shafts A/B , key ‘9’ is used to switch the display status A/B of LED.

Status1 (default) : top row shows the Shaft A batch number and bag number.
Bottom row shows the shaft B batch number and bag number .

Status 2: After press ‘9’ key . top row shows the CPU efficient and Shaft A length.
Bottom row shows the current speed of Shaft motor and Shaft B length.

4. Installation and debugging

4.1. Installation of Hall magnet sensors

Hall is important in harmonizing the main motor and the shaft motor. It reflects period,
phase, and other information of working machinery. It is indeed a time divider.
Distorting of these information will affect cooperating between the machinery and the
electricity unit, and induce bad work status and low efficiency. Installation requirements
will be given according to Figure 5 as follows.
Position A: Departure position of the cutting blade, which is also the start position of
material pulling. Material pulling must be finished before reaching position C,
otherwise the machine will be stopped because of overspeeding.

Position B: Stop position of all kinds of stop operation. Because of inertia, the
machine actually stops behind position B, meanwhile, the cutting blade is at the
highest position. The front edge of bag take-off pulse (for some machine type). The
take-off pulse ends after a delay, whose back edge is unrelated to position.
Position C: Getting down position of the cutting blade. The limit position of material
pulling. The front edge of punching pulse. Machinery permitting, move position C
backward as far as possible, thus a longer time of material pulling window and a higher
efficiency can be obtained.
Position D: The front edge of bag take-off pulse (for some machine type). The bag
take-off pulse ends after a delay, whose back edge is unrelated to position.
Position E: The back edge of punching pulse. Initial position of material withdrawing
(for the machine type of first withdraw then send). The material withdrawing process
must complete before the next position A, otherwise the machine will stop because of
overspeeding. The front edge of air blowing pulse(not three edge sealing machine
type).
Position F: The back edge of below air blowing pulse.

4.2. Blocking material (non-material) photoelectric signals

Expected time when the block first and second respectively at 0.0 seconds to turn of
this feature by default; When the set time is greater than 0.0 seconds and 9.9 seconds
less than expected when the blocking function of open time in the set signal blocking
material must be at least one signal is detected, the system is that the normal; If this
time has been set up signals or signal system has not been considered to be material
or blocking material off, the system will automatically shutdown. A photoelectric signal
blocking material, the application can be set separately.

When the set time, the 10.0-19.9 seconds were not expected to function as open, if
the signal is detected and set the duration of time equal to, the system is not expected
that at this time, the system shutdown automatically; If set time interval the signal
changes, and less than a set duration of time that the signal is invalid, and failure to
implement non-functional materials. No signal of a photoelectric material, the
application can be set separately.
